This is it. The FINAL drawing I'll be doing for Maya May.

Of course this doesn't mean I'll be stopping drawing Maya completely - this is just the last drawing I will be making of her for this month.

This is a thank-you to all the people who participated in the event and still intend to participate - you've got 2 days left after today to get your drawings submitted, the winners will be selected on June 1st, and the winners will be announced publicly as I finish up and submit their prizes. I appreciate all the traction the event got and I'm so glad so many people chose to take part.

The first Maya May entrant apart from myself was , who designed this wonderful swimsuit for Maya to wear. When I saw it, it was love at first sight and I automatically adopted it as Maya's beach outfit. So here's the cactus girl, as happy as a clam, doing a dance by the seaside in her new favorite swimsuit. Let's just hope she doesn't spill that drink.

The summer is approaching so I'm gonna be making quite a lot of drawings with that summery mood these days! I tend to always get myself hyped up over every season. >w< And I'll admit, Maya looks pretty darn cute in that swimsuit and with a ponytailed hairstyle.

I've also decided to bring back Maya's older color palette, where there is more of a contrast between her hairdo and her cactus skin.
