Because today, March 22nd, is World Water Day, I had the idea to make a drawing themed after the ocean! So, have an Alt 2.0 in yet another original outfit designed by yours truly - but this time, with an oceanic twist.

One might be wondering why I chose Alt 2.0 of all characters to be the subject of an ocean-themed drawing, because, well...she's a robot and she hates water. Truth is, this was inspired by a little funny moment I had upon reacting to my friend 's drawing of Lyra from Pop'n Music:

I had, upon first glance, mistook the ocean in the image for the pattern on Alt 2.0's typical getup. To that, Nyamooni responded "Alt 2.0 ocean :0". Out of that stemmed the idea of making an ocean-themed drawing of Alt 2.0, which is...well, what you're seeing right now.

I wasn't sure how I was going to make an ocean-themed drawing of Alt 2.0 at first, with her inability to be around water and whatnot. After a bit I thought an ocean-themed outfit would work, as since she can't go into the ocean, why not have the next best thing - a sparkly dress that looks just like the shining sea? I tried basing the colors around Alt 2.0's usual color scheme while trying to keep an oceanic motif and I think I did a pretty good job.

What's strange is that this is only the first drawing I've ever done of Alt 2.0 in the new style with colored outlines...Her headphones were the hardest part to get colored and drawn correctly.
I even wrote some little Alty messages in the sand~
In addition, it's my first time drawing bare feet as seen from the front - and painted toenails with little wave designs on them! (Well, she's wearing barefoot sandals but that counts. Also, I should totally do professional nail art. )

Let's just hope that Alt 2.0 doesn't get too much sand in her circuits because, well...that would be bad for a 'bot like her... (Or even worse, accidentally getting some water on her.)
