This is by far one of my favorite faces I've roughed up. Thankfully it's part of a Trade cover I'm trying to get sketched this morning. Yesterday I worked something up, it was nice... But not like WOW. My boss was like "Awesome, keep going!" But for me something was bothering me. Even in the final roughs I was not happy with it. The pose was too closed off and it felt forced.

So I slept on it. Yes, I DO stop projects and step away in order to get my head around it. This morning I scrapped it. ALL of it. Just started over and WHAMO this happens. SOOOOO much better and I'm falling in love with it. My boss is as well.
There ARE portions of this image that need TLC, her legs are a disaster case BUT the face and general idea is solid and I can work with that.

Never be afraid to start over! Something incredibly fun can happen!
