Getting a nice photo of her was difficult, because I was shooting through a small hole in the fence called a feed hole. I was still happy to come away with at least one nice photo of her! She was not as co-operative as the wolf, but still sat nicely for a photo after she was finished eating.

She's a gorgeous cat. Nice shot, Jen. I've never had any luck of getting photos of her inside her enclosure. I'm going to have to keep in mind the feeding hole next time.

You're welcome. I've used the feeding hole to successfully photograph Ursula before, but haven't tried yet with the cougars. I think I will try that tomorrow.

I'd never have guessed this was through a tiny hole in the fence! The clarity is utterly incredible!

The greens in the background really make her pop!

The colours in the background are completely natural. I'm not sure if you remember, but in behind the fence there are a bunch of trees. Because I was zoomed in to 300mm, I was able to blur our the fence behind her and the trees kind of melted into that blurry green.

Oh yes I know what you mean, I had been thinking from the perspective of the other feeding hole in the back of the exhibit. That makes more sense, thanks

Oh yes, this one is right in front of the raised platform. Chenita was eating up there and Geronimo was in the back corner. Can't believe how big that guy is...
