Here's a big husky looking fellow. I decided to go black and white with this one, I have a slightly different colour version I'll upload a little later. The scene was pretty badly backlit and rather than have it mediocre in colour, I opted for better in black and white. He was such a looker, I was talking to him a little bit and he'd just stare. There were about 5 other photographers right beside me and we were all just snapping away.

I think the black and white adds to the effect of having a chain fence in the background. Regal and captive... the once proud master of the forests of the night

Oh my gosh, Jen! This is fantastic! I just love everything about it - the pose is perfect, as is the way you've cropped it and the black and white!

Very dramtic with in b&w with the contrast. I like how you can make out the chain link fence in the bakground. Gives you a little something to think about...

I was nervous that people wouldn't like the fence because it isn't natural, but it's hard to get rid of the foreground fence and the background in one picture!

Great shot of Tongua, he looks so relaxed and at peace. I love the choice of B&W and the detail is nice and sharp.

Thank you! He's a big beauty that's for sure. I was happy to see him up and alert, the (what I assume is a) female was asleep in the back exhibit when I was there.

You're very welcome. And sorry for these late replies again. The female, Tatiana, is getting older and just went through a surgery a few weeks ago. They wont be breeding them anymore which is unfortunate.

Or really, a surgery? The poor gal.

All of her hip joints were no good anymore, she was in a lot of pain. I believe they disconnected the nerves to the hip joints somehow for the back hips at least.
