Axel, the Flurry of Dancing Flames. This is my FIRST AXEL DRAWING EVER! So, please excuse any minor mistakes. I did this from memory during my fourth, fifth, and seventh period class... and it turned out better than I thought it would. I SAID I would post Axel next... and here he is! This actually started as a little self challenge- draw this pose, and draw leather gloves. Axel cannot and should never be drawn in a static, stationary pose. He is full of motion and action, and should ALWAYS be drawn thus. My goal is to draw ALLL of the Organization members, and to draw them with PERSONALITY! I tried to evoke an appreciation for his fiery, lively spirit in this picture, and this is the result.I will upload a cleaned up, edited version of this later, and MUCH later I will upload a full color version. Comments and fave's MUCH appreciated!

Wow, very nice! The knuckles on his hands and his neck area are really well toned, and the flame aura you gave him fits perfectly. The flames are very subtle so it's like you can feel the heat!

I used my eraser to draw the flames (it smudges very nicely), and to blend.

Xemnas, Larxene, Demyx, Lexaeus, Vexen, Luxord, Xaldin, Xigbar, then Roxas. In that order. Xemnas is TODAY. I know I sais monday, but it didn't work 'cause I was busy and there was no school.

I'll redo him (in less shading detail) later. I committed to a one per day policy, so that's it until I've done all thirteen of them. Except weekends. I don't draw at home. Just at school.

I kept looking at it and going "amazing, but something's not quite right..."
And then it struck me. He looks far too innocent. I would have imagined a more mischevious expression.

I'll be sure to edit that when I do the touch up pic... I originally had a smirk, but I like him like this. He looks more... entranced... than mischevious. Plus, I'm none too good with mouths drawn from that angle. Smirks never seem to work for me when I want them to when I'm drawing a side view. I'm suprised enough as it is that his FACE didn't come out deformed... I had a HELL of a time trying to get that part right. You do not want to KNOW how many trees I killed getting him this way. Fortunately, I won't have to kill anymore as the editing will all be done digitally. Thanks for the comment!
