So yep. Here's a Dirgan character (!) for a change.
She's a revamp of the very rough idea I had for a scientist back when I made the first ref/idea sheet for the Dirga here: [link]

She works as a geneticist, studying Altamaran genetics and biochemistry in order to help further the development of bioweapons and pandemic diseases against them. Naturally, this makes her one of the bad guys.

However, she's not actually all that malicious, more obsessed with her research. I'm really not sure what I'll do with her character, but I'm thinking of maybe having her switch sides and become a spy for the Altamara... or maybe she'll be a double agent and spy on the Altamara spying on the Dirgans. Maybe she'll join the Altamara, then have a change of heart. Right now it's all very undecided.

In terms of more on her life- She's more or less imprisoned in a military research facility on a space station, buried deep in Dirgan territory. Because biotechnology is a trademark sign of the Altamara, any research that stems into that 'kind of thing' is inherently treated with a degree of distrust by less scientific Dirgans. As such the geneticists particularly at the facility are kept under high security. An example of this is the pair of tracker beacons piercing her 'horns' (made of compacted hair). They make it impossible for her to evade detection or leave the facility unnoticed... Short of lopping off her own horns. To remove one's own horns has deep cultural significance, and is equivalent to renouncing one's rights as a person, so doing so would leave security (and the heads of the facility) free to do whatever they wanted to her should she be captured trying to escape.

This is of course something she would have signed up to when she took the job. Life on the home world is awful enough for her to consider this the better option.

Physically she's probably about five foot tall, like all female Dirga has no mammary glands, and less commonly for a Dirga her hair continues down her back in a ridge. This and skin tone might be a racial thing, or just a part of the species' variation as a whole.
I haven't decided on a name for her yet, but I'm liking the idea that Dirgan names are vaguely aztec themed and are crammed full of x's and z's.. anything that sounds even remotely like an x or a z is also converted to one XD. They probably completely butcher the english language if they speak it.
