Character of the Week (CHOW) #164 - NewbornAll of CA (ConceptArt.org) has been taken over with Newborn stuff lately, it is a site-wide contest with neato prizes. I'm too bogged down to get into the BIG contest, but when it took over the CHOW I tried to squeeze in an entry. Sort of a lighthearted spin on Newborn featuring a pin-up Bride of Frankenstein.

I love the colors and lighting here! And, I'm goig to sound like such a major dork right now, but for some reason people don't seem to realize that Frankenstein wasn't the monster. Victor Frankenstein was the dude who made the monster, and the monster himself doesn't even have a name. anyway, my little rant aside, your painting is very, very well-done

I LOVE LOVE this (yes! I said it in CAPS!)! From top to bottom this just smacks of professionalism: strong choice of colors, design, style, etc. If this had chocolate on it I would EAT it. My only issue: the lighting on the steampunk furniture piece/lab equipment in the back. It should be approaching the brightness/gleam on the wall, I think. Nevertheless, I am truly envious. You're amazing.

I do love it, and while I think the red around her eyes was a good touch to give you the impression she's been crying... I don't think the red nose was. That makes her seem a lush
Otherwise though, it's very wonderful!

That's a really great artwork. Her expression is awesome and I love her dress. There are so many nice details in the picture and your technique of shading is beautiful ! Very well done.

There's absolutely nothing in this that I can find fault with. My god, this is so brilliant. I especially love the contrast of textures and colors! Her scared pose is so great.

I like it. But if you ever did a sequel to it I wish you would show her and Franky together and Franky showing her that he mean her absolutely no harm at all.She would be relived that no harm will come to her. Just my 2 cents ;-/
