She stopped at the sight as the flash of light showed the figure and kept her eyes glued on it. Was it someone from the village? Why was the person out here and especially in a storm?! Maybe there was something wrong with him, she figured, so the girl stumbled a bit over to the naga and tapped a bit of cold skin to get his attention. "Hey! Hey, mister, you alright? Do you need a place to sleep? It's not safe to be out in a storm."
---
The large naga twitched at her touch, then shifted and rose up with a soft, curious hiss. Large, deep amethyst eyes stared down at her with mild curiosity as the naga looked down at her. he had smooth, silky ebony hair that slipped over his head in cool waves. the ebony waves ended in deep violet tips that clung to his soft, pale skin and hid one of his deep amethyst eyes. The rain water kissed his moonlight colored skin, the individual drops of warm rain sliding over his body, creating small, hot rivers between the mountains and valleys of his fit build...
He continued to stare at her curiously, not moving even when a thunderbolt struck mere meters away! The flash flooded the clearing with light and causing color to dance over his Bright ebony scales and bright amethyst belly scales.
---
Jess backed away at the naga moving and stared at him with her mouth slightly open. He wasn't scared or concerned one bit about being out here? That was odd, but it made her nervously take a few more steps away. What if he didn't entirely play by the rules of the village that Hail was from? That question came just before lightning struck so close that time. She yelped and remained stiffly still as she stammered, "Uh...I'm sorry for waking you. I w-was just making sure you weren't hurt or anything. Sorry. You can go back to sleep and I-I'll be on my way."
She forced a smile and hoped it would work. Her legs quivered as she got ready to bolt in case he moved any closer to her. She didn't want her running away to be insulting to this guy if he was actually nice...which she was hoping so even then.
---
He blinks and then he bent down and scooped her up in his warm, wet hands.
He then brought her close to his face, as if he had just found a rare gem. He stared for a moment...then lifted a finger...and poked her stomach with it gently.
---
Jess yelped at the poke and brought her legs into her waist to make sure he wouldn't do that again. "Wh-what did you do that for?"
---
He blinks, then pulled his head back slightly as she spoke. "...?" He tilted his head once again, then shook his head! Causing warm, sweat smelling raindrops to scatter about, but the action cleared his view for a moment, allowing him to look at her more. He seemed very curious of the diminutive figure within his palm. Suddenly, his smooth lips parted, and a quiet, gentle voice spoke out. "...You okay...?" he whispered.
---
She blinked at how he sounded, but then nodded her head as she answered, "Um...I guess. Are you okay? What are you doing out in the rain? Do you have a place to sleep that isn't outside? I can-." She stopped herself from saying anymore since she could guess...he wasn't a talkative person. Best not to be overly talkative herself. She brushed the moisture and off of her form and her own hair in order to not look so nasty from the rain and sweat.
---
He blinks, then noticing her hair was wet, he did what most animals would do. He closed his eyes and leaned down...then he gently licked her!
His tongue was wet, slightly sticky and very soft and warm…his breath was warm as well, and smelled slightly of berries.
After the small lick, he blinked and licked over his lips, as if surprised. "...Sweet?" he tilted his head at her curiously...then he began to slither quietly into another direction...
---
Jess had held her breath and closed her eyes in tension when he licked her. It wasn't unpleasant and in fact made her think of something a puppy would do...minus the dog-breath of course. She opened her eyes when he said that one word that could mean so many things. He didn't sound menacing or suggestive in his wording, so she figured she didn't need to be so nervous. However, him slithering away with her to who knew where made her panic and she started to push herself out of his hand. "Uh...where are we going? I've got someone I've got to get back to the village."
---
He blinked his amethyst eyes...proving he had heard her. Yet, he said nothing and simply continued to slither on to more familiar surroundings. the rain however, began to pick up, and soon it began to fall down in a thick curtain of wetness, making it nearly impossible to see where he was going...
---
Jess kept still when he had at least acted like he heard, but decided to stay in his hand for now since she didn't intend on running through the rain with not being able to see a single thing. She kept her arms over her head and had pulled her hoodie of her jacket over her already sopping hair. It was at least some form of protection, but she couldn't resist being more tense as to where this naga was going than this storm that seemed to be getting worse.
---
The naga continued slithering...and eventually a few dim lights were visible in the rain. He stopped there and set her down on the muddy earth. "...Hail's house is just ahead...follow the lights. He will help you." and with that, the large naga turned around, and slithered back into the forest...
---
Jess was confused at first until a big grin spread across her face at him actually helping her out like that. As he slithered away, she waved after him shouting over the downpour, "Thank you! Hope to see you later...mister!"
Dang, she forgot to ask for his name. Maybe Hail would know who he was. The girl ran back to where the lights to the house of Hail’s were and went in a mad dash through the front door with heavy breathing. She looked like a drowned cat impersonating a mop as she looked around, calling, "Hail!, I'm back!"
She pulled her jacket off that was soaked, while her nose twitched. She wanted to sneeze so badly and being cold and wet wasn't helping. Dang, she hoped she wasn't getting a cold.
---
As she waked into the room with an entry befitting a happy cloudtail, she happened upon an interesting scene.
Hail was in the kitchen, a glass of ice water held in his strong right hand...his muscular, tanned body completely nude except for the towel that was wrapped lazily around his pride. He blinked, registering that she was actually in front of him. "Oh...I thought you were upstairs sleeping..." he rubbed the back of his head and looked down with a slight blush. Then he shrugged and raised the glass, and began to drink. Why should he be embarrassed? As a naga he was always nude from the waist down...
---
Well, one thing was for sure, at least Jess' face was drying up from how heated up it was getting from all of the flesh she was seeing. She hoped her face wasn't as red as she was thinking it was getting. However, the girl stammered, "Uh...um...no, I was returning a cloudtail." She quickly added as she ran out of the room, "Excuse me, but I gotta change my clothes. I'll be back in a moment."
It was more so that she could catch her breath and collect her composure before she acted more like a blushing idiot that she hoped Hail didn't think of her as. The girl went to the room he had directed earlier for a robe and slippers to wear. It was relieving to take off all of the nasty attire and slip on clothing that was comfortable and warm...at least compared to the pile that lay in a corner of the room then. She walked back out to him and was careful to think in her "not-girly" mindset as she said, "Thanks for clothes by the way. They're nice."
---
Hail had not changed out of his towel and was now sitting on the nearby couch, watching the nearby fire in the fireplace, his legs propped up on a large cushion. In his lap rested a large, chubby black cloudtail with large green eyes. It watched her curiously as it purred and flicked its tail about in a pleased manner...
Suddenly, a small figure moved on the counter! The boy yawns and stretches... revealing a 6-inch tall, tanned, toned body. His long, unruly reddish brown hair unruly from his sleep...the colors matching his warm, and gentle eyes.
The boy then smiles to himself, briefly revealing a glimmer of clean white teeth as he looked down at himself...finding it amusing that he had just slept in his clothes.
The boy wore little, but enough to appear appealing. he wore a simple red, black, and silver plaid pants that were held to his body by a small, gold clasped belt...and his feet were clothed by simple, worn leather sandals. he blinks and turned, flexing his small, tanned abs as he looked at his reddish gold maple leaf like wings...he was always proud of their vibrant colors, and cherished them.
He sighs and stood up. two gold rings were slipped over his right arm, and a single gold and emerald ring wrapped around his left…the human rings acting as over sized bangles to further decorate him.
He flared his wings, and flew out from the counter...looking at the kitchen floor below. his red, brown and gold scarf whipping about in the wind...and his maple leaf hair clip giving a glimmer in the firelight. "uhhnnng...good nap!" he yawns and landed by a small plate of sugar cookies.
---
Jess was about to approach the counter very closely to get a good look at the tiny figure, but she figured that would be rude to get so close to someone. She did get a bit closer though to him and asked, "Uh...who are you?" And then her eyes narrowed on Hail as she inquired awkwardly, "Also...um...are you not cold with very little clothing on? I mean, I know there's a fireplace, but..." Oh, shoot. She just couldn't come right out and say that his body was getting her so flustered. Jess mumbled, "Oh never mind. Does this fairy normally live here?"
---
The fairy blinks, then gasped and flared his wings when he saw her, as if he was about to fly away! "y-y-y-yeah i live here..." he squeaks."
Hail blinks, then let his warm amber eyes wander over to her, and he smiles. "I’m fine~ don’t you worry about me...and how are you feeling? You look good in the robe." he purred out to her, then nodded. "Yup. He lives here." he chuckles.
---
The girl let out a sigh in order to remain calm with Hail being so comfortable over there. If she acted normal about it, maybe she'd not get so awkward...maybe. Jess noticed the discomfort the creature had towards her, but was quick to say, "I'm sorry if I'm...making you nervous. My name is Jess. What's your name?" She extended her fingers towards him, hoping he'd accept a shake and even a tap for a welcome. "Hail is being nice enough to let me stay the night here. I hope you don't mind."
---
The small fae boy blushed hard and let out a squeak as she extended her hand towards him. The shy boy quickly hopped off the table and fluttered away shyly. His flight pattern much like a butterflies as he hid behind a small houseplant, bringing a smirk to Hail's face as he turned his attention back to the fire.
---
Jess awkwardly brought her hands by her side and watched him until she couldn't see him any longer. She hoped she didn't do anything wrong, but she figured that it was just difficult to meet someone new for really small creatures. Or it might have been something else. She wasn't sure. The girl walked over to the couch as she gazed at the fireplace and then to an open spot on the couch, "Um...is it okay if I sit here?"
---
He smiles, then patted the spot next to him and smiled at her. "Sure. Sit here~ no need to be shy." he smiled at her gently, and then pointed to the black cloudtail on his lap. "Don’t mind Pirate here...all he’s gonna do is steal some love from you." he chuckles.
---
She nodded and then sat down with her feet tucked beneath her bum. It felt nice and even being near a fire was pleasant. It reminded her of when she lived in Arkansas and would sit in front of the fireplace. It was her favorite place to fall asleep, but she figured it wasn't wise to do that here. She smiled at the cloudtail and then cooed as she stroked her hand over his furry head, "Hey there, Pirate."
---
As soon as she sat down, he smirks and scooped her onto his lap! His body shifting under her as he tried to make himself more comfortable to her. His skin was smooth and very warm to the touch…as well as slightly moist from his shower...and his skin smelling slightly of cinnamon.
The cloudtail leapt off his lap with a playful chuckling sound before it stopped a foot away from the cuddle in progress, ears perked curiously and emerald eyes sparkling.
Hail smiles down at her startled expression and chuckles. "Sorry, you just looked so cold, lass...figured an easy way to warm you up was by holding you." he flicked his bangs away from his liquid gold eyes as he purred at her.
---
Jess yelped at that action and couldn't resist shifting awkwardly in a squirm. She wasn't expecting that and had covered most of her face with her hands to hide the blush that she felt would be permanently set there. Her eyes were on his though as she answered while gradually turning her face away, "Um...th-thank you. Sorry...my face get's red ea-easily and..." The girl sighed as she grumbled, "I'm just making a fool of myself right now, huh?"
---
Hail chuckles at her reaction, and she could feel his muscles shift under her as he did. He then reached up and gently shifted a lock of her wet hair from her face...then he smiles at her gently. "Little queen~ you need not hide your face...I find it adorable when your face takes on the shades of a rose petal." he purred and gently freed her hands from her face and entwined his fingers with hers...even human sized, he still managed to dwarf jess...and if she was to curl up in the fetal position, she would be able to fit comfortably over his abs and chest...and still be able to tuck the crown of her head beneath his chin.
d
---
She eased down at that and found the urge to just lean into him. A calm smile spread across her face as she pressed her cheek next to his chest and then closed her eyes a moment to listen to his heart. It was quite lulling. He was more calming than she had realized. The girl gave a slight purr sound of her own as he messed with the fingers near her own and said, "Thank you. I might not feel like a rose petal...but you strangely make me want to be one all the time." She gave a quiet laugh to that and then asked, "Is it alright if I lean into you like this? I promise not to do anything bad like this."
---
He chuckles as she relaxed into him. He lifted his hand up to begin to rub her back gently, as if she was a cat; his warm, soft hand rubbing against her back gently. "That’s good~ you should always feel happy about yourself..." he smiles and then gave her a gentle, one handed hug. "And what do you mean by bad?" he smirks. "I definitely am not worried about you harming me...or anyone else for that manner." he chuckles.
The cloudtail, now a little jealous that she had stolen the warmest spot in the house, gave a little "uff" sound and leapt onto the couch next to her and curled up against his side.
---
Arching her back downward in more of a curl into him, she felt like being a cat and making a purr sound at it. It felt so nice! But then his last question made her blush once again as she explained, "Well...most guys feel awkward around girls that get close to them. I just didn't want you being nervous...even though..." She smirked as she wrinkled her nose a bit in humor. "...you've been a very confident guy thus far so why I thought I'd scare you by being close like this is beyond me."
Jess heard the cloudtail, but was too relaxed to move that much. She felt like a lazy cuddler, but she was definitely enjoying herself as she nuzzled her cheek into him more so.
---
He smiles down at her, closing his own eyes happily. "Well, why would I be uncomfortable around you? You have a gentle personality and are pretty...so its easy to get to liking you." He yawned, flashing her his clean, white teeth and soft, warm looking tongue before closing his mouth and giving a sleepy stretch pressing his abs against her side and his firm, muscular pecs against her cheek...
---
Jess closed her eyes at him doing that and resisted making weird noises that would be a mix of saying "that's hot" or "I DON'T KNOW HOW TO REACT". She bit her bottom lip to make sure she wouldn't make any sounds, but then was quick to ask, "You want me to get up so that you can go to sleep in your bed?"
---
He opens his eyes slightly and sleepily to look at her...then smiles and shook his head slightly. "Nah...I’m fine where I am lass..." He yawned again, and then licked over his lips and smiles. "You’re free to go whenever you feel like it..." he purred out then shifted slightly, getting comfy again.
---
Jess tightened her lips together as she considered staying here a little while longer since it was so warm. However, the sane part of her mind was able to take claim and she knew it would be awkward to fall asleep on top of someone like he was her mom. The girl carefully pulled herself off of his lap and then said, "Thanks, Hail. Please tell me you're not planning on sleeping out here though. Is there more than one bed here? I don't want to be taking the only one."
---
She received no response, for the naga had fallen asleep on the couch, his body completely relaxed...the cloudtail let out a happy hiss when she left him, and quickly occupied the snuggle spot just above his navel. It began to purr out loudly as it watched her through half open emerald eyes...
---
Jess sighed, figuring to not wake him to ask and then gave one pat on Pirate's head before she walked as quietly as possible out of the room. She went up the stairs to find the bedroom and she was SO happy to get to lie in something so soft and dry as she climbed inside. It didn't take her long to get comfortable in there and for her eyes to close for the night.
To be continued....
