Description "For decades the Aeolius has floated high above our world. Occasionally its envoys descend to trade arcane technology for raw materials and fuel, and more rarely, seek recruits. I joined hoping for adventure, and I got a whole lot more.

It's never good to be on the wrong side of a man who calls himself a god, and when you're hanging in a gibbet ten thousand feet above the ground, you wish he'd spent a bullet on you. But when his favourite concubine risks everything to set you free, shows you where to find a plane, and asks if she can come with you, life doesn't seem so bad at all..."

Adventure certainly awaits those two (wait, have those biplanes seen them?)

They'll be running ever after!

Now this is cool! The whole steampunk/deisalpunk sci-fi genre whether it be in stories, comics, paintings you name it, it all appeals to me for some odd reason. Technology like comes with its evils as do all things, but it also comes with its aesthetic graces depending on how you look at it.

Cheers! This is one of my personal faves and it deserves more exposure. It's more upbeat than my usual work though it was done in late 2010 and I was in a dark place at the time.

I think a lot of steampunk/dieselpunk's appeal comes from these genres evoking a time of new innovations, where the future seemed brighter for many people and technology hadn't yielded such horrors as Zyklon B and nuclear bombs. There's definitely a bit of the romance and adventure of the early modern age in this one.

This sir, is quite incredible. It would look rather dapper in a sepia palette, if I may make the suggestion.

I love this... the Aeolius looks extremely cool, and the little vignette-story is great too.
