Year 756 of the New Age
Blackwood - Nearby the red river
Early Autumn

"where are we going?" the pale doe asked. She had now followed the dark stag before her for a long way now, without him telling where they were going. The only thing he had said before they left Glenmore, was that it was a surprise. But for the rest, noting.
in the mean time they had walked out of the forest, trough some caved and over the hills. the forest had changed in appearance from a nice autumn forest with it's red, orange and yellow leaves, to the dark place, where the odd trees still had their green needles or where the trees where looking old and sick.

Sitka had never left her home so far and she became worried with each step she took. she had to admin it that she became scared, even with her friend by her side. When her lightbrown eyes were looking around, she saw shadows moving trough the trees, big shading, as big as Kira was. the wind was blowing trough the trees, rustling with what it could find and singing dark songs. When an owl screamed, to make clear he was going on a hunt, Sitka made a peeping sounds and pressed herself to the dark stags legs.

"Kira ..." Sitka said softly, but the stag didn't looked back or behind him to the little doe following him. He walked like he was hunted himself. He looked around to the shadows that were following him trough the woods.
at and open place he stopped and grinned. "well, princess, welcome to Blackwood ..." he suddenly said.
Sitka stopped waking and looked curious to Kira. "Blackwood ... but ...."
giggling sounds rose from the bushes around them when 2 stags entered the open field. "so you finally got her then .." one of them said. Kira grinned. "never rush to much ..." He took a few steps and lifted his head above the other. You could see the other 2 stags were younger then Kira and much lighter in build.
But Sitka didn't care about them, she was pinned to the ground, scared, frozen ... what had happened?
"Kira ..." she said softly with her high voice. "You always said you were a wanderer?"
Kira flicked his ears in her direction. "offcourse, my love. I wander around in Blackwood." the other 2 stags chuckled shortly before the found their place behind Sitka, making that she couldn't leave.
"you know, my dear, from the moment I saw you 5 years ago, I knew I wanted you." Sitka gasped for air and took a few steps back, but she was blocked by the 2 bigger stags behind her.

"You lied to me ..." she suddenly said, her voice strangled with the sound of pain and sadness. "You ..."
Kira sighed bored. "yes, i tricked you. and you fell for it so easily." he took a few step closer to her and held his head on the same height as she was. "You always told me that your mother said to you, you shouldn't meat me anymore. You should have listened, Princess."
Sitka was still staring at the stag, not believing what she hearing and seeing. it had to be a dream, just a bad dream. soon she would wake up, into the herd, next to her dam. But then why was everything so real? it was to real to be true? wasn't it? Sitka shakes with her head, hoping to wake up, but when she opened her eyes, she was still at that dark open place. "I trusted you ... You lied to me ..." she said, her eyes were filling with tears she couldn't hold back.
Kira lifted his head back up. "You shouldn't have ..." he said softly before he looked to the 2 stags. "bring her to my den."

Sitka was brought to an old but very big looking tree. Between the roots, their was a cave-like opening, filling with leaves and other things. on the floor, you could find a white fur ... Icebear fur ...
Sitka was forced to take place in the den. she folded her legs under her, on the white fur and looked to the opening, where the soft light found it's way in. She could hear Kira talk to the other stags. She heard them leave, Kira stayed.
"I should not try to escape, princess." he said when he found his place on the ground before the den. "those 2 are patrolling around, you wouldn't make far and it would only ruin your pretty skin."
Sitka looked up with still rolling tears in her eyes. "I thought ... I thought you loved me." she said, almost whispering.
Kira had placed his head on the ground, though you could see he was listening. He raised his head and looked over his shoulder. "I can not love, dear ..." he said on a serious tone, though in a corner, you maybe found some sadness about it. "I am born in Blackwood, just like my parents are."
Sitka stared at him for a few seconds, not moving at all. "but you can change ..." she said suddenly.
"No, I can't. this is who I am and I can not change. This is my home ..." he said and he looked back before him, to the dark forest around him. He was not that far away from the main herd, but far enough so that they wouldn't find him and Sitka. the rut was coming and he wasn't planning to share his new price with somebody else.
Sitka looked back to the ground of the den. it was pretty soft, with the leaves, but dark and cold.
"Kira .." she said. the big stag nodded halfly. "I feel sorry for you ..."
Kira sighed short and softly before he placed his head back on the ground. "don't be Sitka ... don't be ...."

Had to draw it since the future plans are already made though I still have plans on making some picture's of Kira and Sitka when they are younger. and I have some sort of future idea for them ... though that shall depend on a few other things to
