And so your wings have become as you wanted~ The little spike jutting from the first joint of the right wing amuses me. :>
I must say... I'm inspired by how well along your wing membranes are. Maa~ It makes me green just thinking about it.

That it does, that it does, dear~
That and I believe it fits a regal creature like dragon a little better, giving the creature the feeling a hand evolved into a wing out of necessity~
I'm always envious~ Envy is a natural reaction I have to any who do spectacular jobs on pieces or prose~ I can't help but be green, and I think it's the sign someone is great when I'm green with envy~
I see it as a mark of excellence in an artist to make me do that. And that you do~ Especially in your unique style~

Yes yes~ I'm not saying one theory or another is prevalent, but it's very obvious things change through need~ And dragons were one of the more ... over-equipped creatures, don't you think~? Fact became legend, legend became myth, and myth became something less, so there's no real truth in anything you hear... Ah~ I rambled again~ tsk tsk... I've been doing that a lot lately~
Yes yes~ Those two thoughts flash through my mind whenever I log on here, and it maddens me to no end trying to discover what bump on the road made you hand waver towards these unique curvatures you develop~ I know I took mine from many artists that I knew personally, and I feel rather bad, but still~ Happiness is hard to come by
My problem is I seek surrealism for what I want to achieve. I don't like this anime/ manga style artwork I do, but it's all I was etched with~ My first artwork book was 'How to Draw Manga' and it dominated my art style~ I've lost that technique, though, and now I'm formless, trying to cling to things that don't belong to me~
I've yet to discover a true style all of my own, it's always copied from someone else's works. It's sad, but it's the way things are~ I AM getting better, I suppose, at the overall ideas. But I've yet to draw something to my satisfaction, Jian. D: It's maddening. It's the way of an artist though I suppose.

They do tend to lean that way ... yes.
LOL! XD it's interesting to see how far humans can distort something...
Y'know... you could just ask, ^_^ I don't mind trying to explain, particularly to someone who is capable of articulating their question well, (like you are.) Since I rarely dispose of any of my artwork (no matter how old it is) I have a pretty good idea of where alot of it comes from.
ah, Surrealism, I'm not as good at that, ... I tend to lean straight fantasy, but I have dabbled with it from time-to-time... particularly in my "Image Manipulation" class... where photo manipulation was what was taught.
I still have and buy "How To Draw Manga" ... they're really good reference books, ^_^ you could do alot worse than those.
the more you practice and work, the more you develope your own "style" ... I'm not surprised that you're still puttering around with different things, you're still in that stage... also, a "style" is an evolving thing, prone to change as time passes. it should never be completely just ONE thing... you should always be working to improve if you can! ^_^
In all truth... there are extremely few projects that come out how I'd originally imagined them... those jewels are few and VERY far between, and I've only reached that point recently, I probably have maybe 2 or 3 such drawings... none of them inked, and none posted... just sketches. But still, it's what all artist's strive for! It's a very good goal. So don't fret that you're not satisfied yet... you're still practicing, building your "artistic muscle" as it were, it'll take a while before your mind and your hand communicate the way you want. Just like it takes a while to learn to dribble a basketball correctly.
