Whew this took a long time,All my artworks that include female characters have been skirts and stuff, so I wanted to draw a badass girl character~
Thus I ended up drawing Korra
It was also good practice for drawing different types of elements
I was contemplating whether I should do it my usual way of clean lineart and paint, or just go with messy lineart and paint.
Ultimately I chose to go with the clean lineart, and I'm glad I did haha,
It looks much neater this way
This was inspired by *dCTb 's Avatar Korra
.I changed some stuff on Korra's outfit. No major changes, but changes nonetheless
.The fire was entirely hand drawn, no special brushes or anything. It looks more like a nebula than fire though...
The water was also entirely hand drawn with the exception of a confetti brush that I used for some slight water droplet effects.
It's been a month since I last drew a background (The last time was with my Rukia: Snow Flower , so I'm quite proud that I made improvement haha,
It's kind of hard to see because there's so much going on around Korra, but there's improvement nonetheless
There are three distant mountains in the background in the bottom left corner, but it's rather hard to see due to Korra's air bending effects.
I haven't actually watched Legend of Korra or Last Airbender yet...............I first stayed away from it because people said the storyline was childish... But now people are saying it's deep, so I guess I'll check it out hahaha~
PS: Novus Genesis means New Generation in Latin (or at least according to Google Translate it does

oh Korra!! I only watched Legend of Korra 3-4 episodes and lol I don't really think it's childish (though I wish the romance doesn't appear too early). For a TV series, the animation is quite smooth (in my opinion). I hope you don't regret watching it~
as always, I love your drawing (and your style~~!!) ! The effect you put on each elements, it's so---asfghhk!! and I can't believe the fires were hand-drawn.....but since it's a fact, I have to believe it anyway

I like the more realistic romances that occur over time

you should definitely watch legend of korra and last airbender^^ they may look childish but the art is cool and yes it does go deep, its long and exciting but i really wish they would make the second season of legend of korra already^^

Well her chin is longer and narrower, I meant the style. Her eyes are off. Compared to what Korra actually looks like, it is not correct, but close.
