Is it? I haven't checked the price on that one for years but the last time I looked it wasn't worth much, I guess it must be harder to get now. I see you sure like your halo games.

i shall bow down to you for being the one of the few people who own a copy of Castlevania: Circle of the Moon
which is the best game ever

JJRRS In reply to Demon-Mask [2008-11-29 17:30:33 +0000 UTC]
Thanks, I must have own that game 3-5 different times/copies, with the latest one being bought for about $5 with the first Golden Sun only because they both had their original boxes.
It's a good game and very old school Castlevania, unlike the newer games that tries very hard to include new ideas, not that there's anything wrong with them. I hope you saw the rest of the games I collected too.

You think? I haven't been playing much games lately, though I am still buying plenty, but there are very few xbox games that are worth the effort.

JJRRS In reply to KirbySnacks [2008-07-27 01:18:51 +0000 UTC]
Thanks, it's no big deal really, I just buy all the games I come across that's worth the money I'd pay. I figure if I paid $30-50 for a game to play it and liked it, it is well worth $10 to buy it again, especially when it's worth more than that elsewhere. Most people find that to be weird but it's just the way I buy games I guess.

I'd say it's a waste of money, but eh, it's your call, I guess.

JJRRS In reply to KirbySnacks [2008-07-27 01:52:46 +0000 UTC]
Ouch, waste of money you say? I'm not offended by that or anything since I can see why you would say that, but it's anything but wasting money for me most of the time.
For example, I have like 15+ copies of Fire Emblem: PoR for the gamecube that I bought for about $10 each, right now they sell online for between $25-35 each, I hardly think that's a waste of money. All the games I buy may not have that kind of increase in value, but almost all of the games I got are worth more than what I paid, otherwise I wouldn't have bought them.

Ahh, the Zelda promotional disc with 3 Zelda classics in one!
My friend is also the lucky owner of that title. It's too bad he's not a serious collector, he is the type he sells old games to pay for new ones, rather than keep his collection all together.

JJRRS In reply to tails-sama [2007-08-22 04:04:56 +0000 UTC]
There's more copies of that Zelda disc than you would think, gamestop has a huge supply of it in their inventory and in many stores (both the 2 games promo version and the consol giveaway version I have), I have no idea why they don't just lower the price but even new copies are not worth as much as they did a few years back because it's quite easy to obtain.

Heh, well the fancy cover made it appear a special thing.
If I ever get a Gamecube, I would love to get that, along with Wind Waker.

Fancy cover? the covers on those can't be more plain... Though if you do like Zelda, then it's certain a good item to have.

Yeah, the gba games' values can be screwed-up... (which is why I sometimes love to go to the pawn shops in town looking for cheap games. I've found some gems... somewhat cheap $8.00 they're cheaper now ♥ I bought pokemon sapphire, Zelda 4-swords/Link to the Past and final Fantasy I & II dawn of souls for $8 each... And at the time that I bought them, they were twenty-some bucks in the same condition... And last year, I found pokemon leaf green (no box, manual or wireless adapter though *though I don't intend to wireless adapt, can't you just use two ds-es??*) for $3 at a thrift store. Go to them for games and sometimes you might find a deal... or find an obscenely-overpriced NES...
(a friend of mine bought Bloodrayne for $0.50 a few months ago...)

yeah, I guess all handheld games just don't get the same attention as consol games to have stable values, I doubt DS or PSP games will be any different which is why I don't worry too much about getting rid of those games when I no longer play them.

ithydoodles In reply to JJRRS [2007-08-15 21:13:39 +0000 UTC]
Stupid pokemon games with no boxes or manuals for 29.99... when I paid more than twenty bucks less for each of the two that I have for gba...
Guess that's it's all 'supply and demand' (or just demand?)
I might buy a few copies of that new Disgaea game for the psp... even though I don't have one myself... I have at least three friends who'd like to have that game (and maybe the ps2 game might have another price-break...)

Unless you were to only buy the can't miss short printed PS2 titles likes ones published by atlus here in the U.S. (which is maybe one or two titles a year) it's never a good value to get games new at even close to retail price. Even in those cases it's not going to be hard to save more money and find those limited titles used and complete at about 30-50% off before their prices go up.

It's just a trading cards game on GBA based on the rules of the Genso Suikoden Trading Cards game in Japan. It kind of follows the story of Suikoden II while using the pre-III card sets for battles, it's just like any other trading cards video game except you get a minor Suikoden story and the series' characters on the cards.

Four actually, got a sealed copy just for fun. It's pretty hard to find them so when I got a chance to get them at less than $10 each and didn't have any better options, I just grabbed them. If there's any old Xbox game that may become sort of a collector's item, that should be it. It's said to be a really good game that didn't sell well, I think right now it maybe easier to find new copies than used ones because of it. Being backward compatible should keep it from getting completely forgotten, unlike Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 or Kingdom Under Fire. Genso Suikoden Card Stories is not that fun, but it's a Suikoden game that had some sort of gameplay element so I had to import it to check it out for myself.

Correction: I don't know when the latest 360 patch was released, but now Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 is playable on the 360 after the new update, it's a terrible emulation as the characters flickers during the action but at least such a good game can be played now.

I don't like to pass up a bargain if it's right on front of me in most cases, so I ended up with more games than I need sometimes. Funny thing about the Castlevanias, of all those games shown that are opened, only Aria of Sorrow and Harmony of Dissonance are bought conventionally brand new from a store, yet they are the only ones that I no longer have the games for, I got rid of them about 3 yeas ago to save up for the launch of the DS, but I do still have everything in the boxes so it would be cheaper if I did want to complete them.
