Another 3 months, more games were bought, once again it feels like the more different titles I get, the less games there are I can find to buy, most of the games I bought recently were pretty cheap due to all the sales around the holidays, and there are more are more games bought for the newer systems.From the top left for the PS3:
Rock Band 2 Special Edition- new $110 already have the 360 Rock Band set, but this was too cheap to pass up, bought one for my friend as well, and returned the PS3 GH:World Tour set as soon as I could because those drums didn't work right
Folklore- $16 interesting game, tried it when the game first came out but haven't played it since
Metal Gear Solid 4- $20 not a MGS fan but it was cheap and the best PS3's got
Valkyria Chronicles- $35 good game, in case anyone haven't heard already, best rpg on PS3 by far
there are some cheap stuff not shown like Haze & Unreal Tournament III
Playstation:
Parasite Eve II- $10 should be worth the price
Xbox 360:
The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion: Game of the Year Edition- $16 just in case I want to play it again someday
Enchanted Arms- $5 not a bad game, solid rpg
Eternal Sonata- $8 good game, always wanted to own it, finally got it at a good price
Halo 3 Legendary Edition- new $39 keeping it sealed
Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom- $8
The Last Remnant- only the first disc, can't say it's good but it's better than Infinite Undiscovery
Lost Planet Collector's Edition- $5 worth less, but cheap and has a pretty case
Ninja Gaiden II- new $10
PS2:
Baldurβs Gate Dark Alliance II- $13 about the same price I always pay
Eternal Poison- x2 $21 one new copy sealed with artbook ordered free through work, & 2 other artbooks
Final Fantasy XII CE- $5 disc only
Growlanser Heritage of War LE- $17 finally got the game disc to go with everything else
Guilty Gear Isuka- $7
The King of Fighters 2002 & 2003- $5
Onimusha Dawn of Dreams- $3

SMT: Persona 3 FES with P3 artbook & soundtrack- new, sealed, work order
SMT: Persona 4- x3 $21 one new sealed copy ordered through work, 2 artbooks, & 2 official guides 1 sealed
Silent Hill 3- x2 $13 each, complete with soundtracks
Suikoden V- x2 $5 each, I really can't pass up buying copies for this price

Fire Emblem Path of Radiance- $9 disc only
The Legend of Zelda: CE- $10 with Twilight Princess case...
Mario Party 5- $10 need original case
Mario Party 6- $13
Mario Party 7- x2 $12 each, local store was getting rid of all Gamecube games, so I decided to pick these up
Mario Power Tennis- x2 $10 got this, Zelda, & 1 Mario Party 7 with a Gamecube for $50, got an extra game disc somehow, then traded in the system for $20, so $30 for all 3 games+extra copy
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes- x2 $11 each
Pokemon Channel- $8
Pokemon Colosseum- $12 not sure why I got these Pokemon games, they weren't cheap either...
Resident Evil 2- $10
Resident Evil 3 Nemesis- $10
Star Wars Jedi Outcast- $5 don't think these last 3 games were great ports or anything, but I been trying to get them for forever since they were short printed
Wii:
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World- $22
Trauma Center: Second Opinion- $8
Trauma Center: New Blood- $16
no Wii game is that hard to get so far, but I think I'd hold on to these along with some of the more unique games I never even opened like No More Heroes & Zack & Wiki. Just before the new year I also went through a crap load of other wii titles that made me enough games buying funds for a while
PSP:
Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception- $10 after selling for 30 bucks for 2+ years this game finally got cheaper
Generation of Chaos: Aedis Eclipse- $9
Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology- $10
Wild Arms XF- $10
Yggdra Union: We'll Never Fight Alone- $13 love the extensive voice work Atlus added for this game & the PSP port of Riviera
lots of other lesser PSP games were also bought like: Pursue Force, Star Wars Battlefront, Valhalla Knights...

Advance Wars: Days of Ruin- $8 half the price I paid for the first copy
Dragon Ball Origins- $11 nice little DB game with lots to offer
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen- $15 got to be better than DQM Joker
Etrian Odyssey- $11
Guitar Hero: On Tour- still the only one I have but a different set than before
Guitar Hero: on tour Decades- $13
Luminous Arc 2- no game right now, only case & cd, 2 Luminous Art artbooks(HA)
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Series- had the first 2 games for a while, recently got Trials and Tribulations for $11
Professor Layton and the Curious Village- $8
Tetris DS- x2 $10 each, both without case
Trauma Center: Under the Knife- $11 was buying 2 but got the first game in the case, didn't bother to exchange it since the first one cost more
Yoshi's Island 2- $15
I really can't think of what other games I would want to buy later, and it's hard to imagine I'll buy so much stuff again, but it always seems to happen, so I'll wait and see.

I love to collect and play games, especially older ones I couldn't afford/had the time to play/knew about back in the day. But they're either really hard to find or really expensive.
Do you buy them online or are there specialty stores?

I guess it helps to know what game is worth what price and where to look, luck helps too.
I been working for a major US bank the last year or so, it has nothing to do with games, plus our perks were seriously cut back this year... so no more ordering games for free through work for me.
I rarely buy anything online except games I can't get cheaper elsewhere that I likely won't even open, just ordered BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger PS3 last week because I like it's cool package but I won't be opening it to play the game (the package is currently selling on ebay for $20+ over the price I paid) unless I get another copy somehow.

I wish I was in your area then. It's just bout impossible to find without costing an arm and a leg. The only Game Stop that sales PSX games is 3 hours away XD and the only game store that sells older games...never...ever..has it (and if they did, it'd be probably 50 bucks)

I have seen PE2 sold in my area a few times for around $30 the recent years, I never really wanted to play the game so I didn't consider getting it at that price, but when I saw it in a local used media chain store for only $10 last thanksgiving, I decided to get it.

Oh there are... Unfortunately they ARE in the 40-70 dollar range to find them (not on ebay) I work at Game Stop, so if there IS a game that comes in that I like- I put it on hold...but anything older than PS2 I can't do that for... D:

I'm not sure where you are but gamestops around my area have not taken back PSone games for years. Nothing on PS2 is too hard to get still, there were some games that were very hard to find a year or two ago, but many of them are reprinted.

I'm not that into Oblivion as I'm more of a turn based RPG player, but I do think it is a good series and I just let a friend borrow my PS3 version of the game. Also I finally got Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2 last weekend, now I just need to get the complete case of the first game.

No .hack game really interest me at this point, sure I wouldn't mind getting both part 1s of the 2 series to complete my sets but I never even played any of those games, so I'm not in a hurry.
Yeah, persona games are nice, too bad I had to get rid of copies of the original P3 I collected since they are worthless and can be found for $15 now after P3:FES came out, when they were worth like $70 a year ago.

because I spend most of my time doing other things I enjoy like drawing & working out, while having to also do the thing I need to do like work, school, & sleep...
I enjoy collecting game, while the chance to play them it a bonus if & when I'll ever get to do it. I'm not exactly sure if you were suggesting I spend too much money on game or if I play too much game or whatever, but the reason I have an account here is because I enjoy doing what I do, and most people are here for that same reason, so I don't see the need to consider anyone else better or worst than yourself.

wow! Impressive......, Most impressive!!! Dude where do you shop for your games? Some of those prices sound waaaay to good to be true.... then again I usually just buy all my games brand new... My Girl she hates that. She's always on my back telling me to wait 6 months so we can get them cheaper.... I just can't wait sometimes though. I'm just a fan of the gaming industry in total. That and I feel bad by not supporting the game developers who spent quite the investment to get that game into my grubby hands. I mean I'd have to support Square-Enix, Bungie, Epic, Id, Valve, Ubisoft, Konami, and Capcom... I really enjoy most of thier games. I mean it would be a shame if they closed the studios before they had a chance to make more games I could enjoy. Then thats just the way I see it even thought buying a good game at a cheap price is really in my best interest especially since money is tight now. This is tough decision to make on my part. GOD willing I will be buying Halo wars, and Resident Evil 5 brand new because I such a huge fan!!

I'd shop around for games, I use to not even think twice about buying a good game brand new, but as I found more and more ways to get games cheaper (many of which are no longer options, possibly due to me abusing those methods to get the games I want...) I started purposely choosing to buy games that have higher value rather than getting a new game at full price, no matter how much I wanted to play the newer game, which is why I have quite a few copies of certain games:

I got used to it after a while, plus there are always other ways to just play the popular new releases without having to pay much.
I rarely ever buy a new game nowadays, of what you see here, only 2 PS2 games: Persona 4 & Eternal Poison were new because they came out pretty recently and I got them free through my job, I only bought the Rock Band 2 set & Halo Legendary Edition new because I won't be able to find them used, plus they were seriously discounted, everything else is not new though I always try my best to get things in perfect condition.
I do try to support good game companies that doesn't always print a million copies of a certain game just to make money, and I fully support Konami for their Suikoden rpg franchise.
