Originally just a mechanical prosthetic, basically an elaborate puppet, there was no one in bottom portion. She is just now discovering that lower portion is now an organic part of her, and the hidden zipper used to help her put on the costume has vanished (never to be seen again).

At first glance, I would say not well.

Fortunately, Lana has very powerful and wealthy friends. (The show is backed by both the (Lex Luthor) Lexcorp Investiment Group, and (Bruce (Batman) Wayne) Wayne Foundation Charities - benefactor of the charity auction that is part of the show. The show crew rushes those affected by the curse to a private tropical island (owned by Luthor) to escape the prying eyes of the paparazzi (Wayne's idea via Clark (Superman) Kent). They (coincidentally) are safely out of cell phone range from just about everyone. Living at what can be best described as a small (few hundred rooms) 5 star hotel (with all the frills) - actually one of Lex's mansions, private sandy beach, (Hidden Lexcorp research lab - reason Lex built the place to begin with) and cordon bleu chef, those affected can adapt to their (hopefully temporary) new form and minor compulsions; enjoying long runs, wanting to be topless, desiring to be outside, associating with other centaurs (and she has lots of famous company), grooming - curry combes, and others still being discovered.

Note: after LOTS of testing, cause is not mechanical. Costume appears to be just that, the creative work of Lexcorp employees and special effects wizards. Superman has also ruled out his #1 magical menace Mister Mxyzptlk, who is just 40 days into a minimum 90 day banishment to the 5th dimension. Readers who are familiar with old, seldom seen Superman characters might be able to guess who is really responsible for the transformations.

Let's see... My knowledge on the DC universe is kinda sketchy, but I'd have to take a guess and say it's Wonder Woman's arch nemesis, Circe, since she's the only dark magic user I can think of at the moment who may do something like that...

I will give out one hint, it is someone Superman has encountered in canon, But beyond that sorry no additional hints.

He has actually encountered quite a few magical characters over his 70+ year career. After all, he is vulnerable to magic.

People have been casually guessing for years. Someday they will find the right suspect.

Well, I didn't intend it to be easy. Otherwise Lana and Superman would have solved the problem long ago.

To be fair, when I get around to revealing the responsible party, it will make sense. They even have a reasonable (comic book logic) motive for their actions.

As for the store, I will confess it is in my ever growing pile of things to do when I remember to make time for it. Plot's done, story is outlined, just have to do the hard work of writing it all down. It is not intended to be that big of a mystery, but I will let you paly with it a little more. Drop me a note when you want to give up and I'll fill in the rest of the details. You can also visit some of the other victims (same theme) and you might find some other clues. If I remember correctly Fire, Ice, Lois Lane, Vicky Vale (not posted), Pepper Potts, MJ Watson-Parker, a few unnamed models, and Lana have all fallen prey to the "costume".

The responsible party is a canon DC Universe / Superman character.

Most of those impacted have been either models, superheroines who are models in their secret ID, heroines who know Superman and volunteered to help, supporting characters who are reporters, and a few VIP characters who were approached (by phone) to help model for Lana's shoe.

I am pretty sure I put the other details on the other commissions



Looks like I will have to restore a few more as the galleries are no longer there. (sigh, more to repost). But you are not missing any vital clues.

Basic details:
Lana is a high fashion model / fashion designer (from Superman The Animated Series)
Her trademark for the current show was a centaur (countering the Victoria Secret, Angels series)
All shows featured a "million dollar" fancy designer bra that was to be worn by the featured model and auctioned off after the show for Wayne Foundation Charities
The centaur costume is a marvel of F/X, able to be worn by anyone, and has been since thoroughly checked and rechecked by everything from the "World's greatest detective", x-ray vision, STAR Labs, Lexcorp, Stark Industries, ILM, and quite a few other companies and detectives. It has also been replaced several times due to mysteriously vanishing after another model goes centaur.

I think that covers all the high points.

1) Lana knows Clark's ID - see Superman The Animated Series
2) She is friends with Lex Luther  - she likes "bad" boys - same show
3) Wayne Foundation & Lexcorp have worked together - barely - also from same series

As for rest of world, let 'em guess. That Lois Lane will get to bottom of it. Although she has gone missing as of late after helping out as star model for one of Lana's shows. Something about feeling a little horse and taking some long overdue personal time.
