I know this series of anthologies well; in fact, I've got the MB of Extreme Dark Fantasy on my shelf right now. I love this image because it simply looks edgy and realistic. I like how the helmet is scratched up and that mosquito on his shoulder looks about the size we get here in Michigan.

So I didn't have time to browse through your whole profile before, but now that I have I realize how amazing your work is! I'm going to have to elaborate on my photo manipulation skills to try and get some realistic sci-fi drawings created like this. This will make a sweet Best of New SF cover man!

Thanks. Yeah β it's a dense, thriving jungle planet. My Client wanted a big reflection of a bug but I preferred the threat to be more ambiguous, hence the the vague insectyness, mirrored in his visor.
