Description
A personal piece I did as an homage to an OLD story I drew in high school. I've always really dug the dynamic of these 2 characters, and wanted to capture a moment of tenderness with a hint of something sinister. Showing the price of a forbidden love.I'm donating the original to HeroesCon this year, so if you'll be there, swing by my booth!

This is by far my favorite gambit-rogue, or superhero couple, piece ever. I love what you did with the 'queen of hearts' theme. Also, the positioning of the both of them, as well as her red eyes, tell a story on their own. Wonderful work.

Is it just me or does Rogue really resemble her live action counterpart in this piece? If only the movies had included Gambit and worked in their romance... I love them as a couple so much! Tragedy and all.

I love it. It's tender and seems to forebode tragedy. The kiss, her having his eyes, it's kinda chilling, cuz we know what she just did . The ace of spades (doom and loom) by the Queen of hearts (lady luck, love) and him holding the suicidal king (King of Hearts) are the only three flipped over. so much symbolism, this is beautiful.
