Description 14x 20 Colored Pencils on Watercolor Paper. I take liberties with color interpretation. Green stomach and blue toes ...... You decide. This was one of the pieces I had in the Gilder Star Gallery in Rochester, MN which is closing so I need a new gallery. I have seven more drawings that I will be uploading as I remove my stuff. Two of the drawings I will bring home won 1st place in the Olmsted County Art Fair for those two years 04, ande 05. Those....in a few days.

Absoltuly beautiful toning and textures! The floor texture is amazing, by the way! It looks like real wood! I am very impressed!

Thank you very much. I have a bit of an advantage with wood floors in that I have been around hardwood floors my whole adult life ( I'm 50, I know that seems old ) and have a good feel for the grains in these woods from my construction work. The grains in the wood that is drawn here is quite simplified from the actual wood in a hardwood floor but the impression of a wood floor is there. I am creating somewhat of an illusion, but we believe what we see. Some times it works. Sometimes it doesn't. Those of course, you don't see........They get tossed. Thanks again for your kind words and interest. I am very greatful.

thats awesome! btw...r the colors u add supposed to be realistic? becoz my sister and i had a massive debate over whether or not the color in ur drawing of the girl's body underwater is supposed to be realistic or slightly enhanced.... i thought they were quite bright, but realistic...she just thinks theyre fluoroscent!

Your both right. Water creates an abstraction that is fun to work with because it is without bounds. Continue the debate because that is what art and living in free society is all about.
