and that is Just the Characters. let alone the drive of the story like the prequel back story, and expanded plot.BTW that letter @ the end of KH2, it's been read to the audience already. I'm sure many will wonder about it
I just cant imagine saying "I play Kingdom Hearts" with out knowing who Master Xehanort is. some like the Gamer here must still think he's the man in the portrait back in Hollow Bastion.
it's like watching Star Wars episode 1&2, then jumping to episode 6, and asking "what'd I miss?"
But no worries for anyone who hasn't gone through them (to be honest it was very pricey to play every KH)
the Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 and 2.5 will help out a lot, for those who wish to catch up.

I'm just glad they made an Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 exist with 2.8 on PS4 and KH3 will came out on PS4 too. So, for those who wanted to get in the series in time for KH3 and own an PS4 can finally experience all the story for them self.

So I think I just next leveled, I played through all the games to date, AND played them all in Chronological order including the saves and switched games depending on the event in the story

and then there is Union Cross, which is it to KH is like Original Sin Arc to Evillious, the prequel that drops the most bombs. Keyblade War? Ventus and Marluxia used to know each other since centuries ago? Nah.Β

Honestly, I think some of the so-called "spinoffs" are by far the best games in the series!Β Talking about Chain of Memories and Birth by Sleep, here.
Story-wise 358/2 Days is great, but gameplay-wise that one's way too clunky for me to put it with my favorites (and it's a little depressing how in the only game the Organization has ever been playable, you can't even use their real powers except for a couple of basic physical attacks and a limit-break type move.Β Heck, even Roxas/Xion get the lazy "same magic and stuff as Sora" thing rather than being able to use their light powers or anything. >_<)
And then Re:Coded is like the opposite -- gameplay-wise it's actually great, but it's almost completely pointless story-wise.

that's not just what walkthroughs are necessarily for, it's also okay if you wanna view the entire game should you not own the game's console.Β because understanding the plot alone isn't enough.
when i lack a specific game's console and can't play it. i go for the walkthrough on YT. plot, gameplay, events and all. it won't be the same with Wiki. what's wrong with that?

That's actually what turned me off of this series. If you couldn't afford multiple consoles you couldn't keep up with the flow of the story. It's a bullshit money grab and really too bad. I'll always like the first game though.
