O,k first of all i have to say, Wow, cause this creature almost completely represents darkness of night, to me it's saying "The day shall fall, the night shall rise once more"
O,k Down to business, This artwork is Marvelous and absolutely amazing, it shows its resemblance to the night as if it was the very darkness of night itself. When this much originality comes into play it just hits me like a brick wall, I must say when it comes to Originality i have got to give it to you my friend, this is one of first class peaces Ive seen representing a creature ruling the dark.
Second, The technique is very very effective in this kind of art peace, the constant draw back of the pencil and the fade in and fade out affect on the edge makes it look like its not just summoning the night time but spreading it through out its own body witch gives it a chilling effect.
And third but not last, The Impact. It has a certain volume of color, shading, tint, and brightness that gives it that creepy feeling that it is actually spreading through your computer, you have to look at it thoroughly but once you look at it all, you can see the pure effect of this painting.
I do hope that you make another art piece of this quality, for i look forward to seeing everything you can do. Keep up the good work

You have a painterly quality to all of your works; especially this one. I think the use of glow in the background really propels the vocal point forward. However, compositionally acceptable; the use of light line work flattens the image up top...maybe darken it a bit more to add depth and a crisper line work on the top wings on the figure would propel the figure in space even more to the forefront of your image. maybe add hints of yellow to the glow to make it pop but these suggestions are merely that. You're use of color is exceptional! And has a dreamlike quality to the whole piece itself! Really like the attention to detail; especially in the face. Contrast is exceptional as well!

This is my first critique.
The drawing is captivating, the use of dark colours (especially royal colours of blue and purple) help to draw focus to the bird/creature in the centre which is emphasised with slightly lighter colours and the light source behind and reflected around it.
The picture is fairly balanced by the addition of three wings beneath to the two larger wings above. It gives it a lovely mystical feel, the way the three wings have been coloured and lined could also be taken as flowing robes as well as feathers (depending on your take) - you could also see the wings in the centre as an almost praying pose.
The light focus of whites, lilacs/violet are haunting against the dark background, remaining me of willo-wisps and the ones around the "bird" itself also resemble a flower (with the dark blue head being the centre the petals extend from).
The watercolour has been used to supeb effect. The being is original, elegant and haunting (like a crane). I can interpret it in many ways, imagine many scenerios as to the purpose and creation of such a creature - which speaks volumes as to how well the artist can craft and shape visions that can take flight in the imagination.
(The only reason I have not given full marks on originality is everyone is influenced by something. I feel I can attach imagery and concepts on such a brilliant piece and felt it would be safer that way.)
An artist to watch - I for one await the next creation with joy.

It looks as it is a bird, but you can something different too. I see with the help of the colour and name of it. Night Rise. That is very impressive. Colours are picked very good and they're streaming almost perfect. Behind that distant shadow, it looks as if there are something...something with light. It gives us to see what our imagination expects. There are something interesting too. On what is it? Light? Maybe. But, I like how you leave some colours reunion, that we should say what's it. It looks very dreamy and mystery. One of the most important things, I think, is that we don't see it, like drawing. But like art or even alive. Shadownessand lightness are very professional here. I don't know what is bad here, but the best in my opinion are the coulours tuning.

Your technique, as always, is lovely. The colors chosen are good, and the light colors behind the bird frame it well. I'll admit I find the bird a little creepy. With the title, my first thought was that it was some sort of dark phoenix, but it doesn't really fit that. It's a very snaky or draconic looking bird. The multiple wings are part of the (to me) creep factor, but that's also a nice touch. What is supposed to be between it and the light, though? Is that part of the bird? If so, I would say add more detail so it looks like part of the bird (the tail or whatever). I don't think it's part of the bird....
