Further proof that religion is friggin weird. I think that's why I keep reading religious manuals for story ideas.

boy Loki was lonely back in the day, have you ever thought that the excuse that "we cannot comprehend the machinations of immortal beings" is just an over-elaborated ruse to excuse every single mess they did because they were bored as hell?

perhaps the horse wasnt into carrotsΒ
though gotta say this is one of my favorite norse legends, it just has the feeling of a group of guys drinking in a long house during winter trying to think up a better story to one up their comrades "Thats nothing, this one time, In Asgard, Thor lost his hammer, and like, dressed up as a bride to get it back!"

I thought elves traditionally had big round ears and that it was trolls that had the pointy ears.

dinshino In reply to Dragon-Furry [2015-07-13 10:48:37 +0000 UTC]
Not super big ears, just slightly bigger. I may be thinking of Danish trolls and elves.

Dragon-Furry In reply to dinshino [2015-07-13 13:36:59 +0000 UTC]
Ah I follow, well the scandinavian troll have big and somewhat pointy ears. Must of the time drawing with hair at the tip of it. Elves.. we don't have many elven legends in Denmark, more of gnomes and underground creatures.

dinshino In reply to Dragon-Furry [2015-07-19 06:16:04 +0000 UTC]
Right. Danish trolls tend to fill those roles since you've got the valraven.

I thought they were ravens that had eaten the flesh of fallen soldiers in battle gaining magic powers (such as turning into a human) but losing the ability to fly until they eat a baby.
Humon is my source of info on this.

It's you who stole my ducks ?
I hope you don't stole my cows in the same time.

You know...it is an interesting myth, really.Β In order to successfully cheat, Loki distracts Svadilfari for a night, and that's all well and good.Β What I still find most interesting about this particular story is that Loki decided to carry the foal to term.
You think he could have just transformed back and forgotten all about it, but instead he remains long enough to give birth.Β What does that say about him?

That was a good one. Here where I live is there a comic book about the Norse Β gods in that one was it actually a mistake that Loki and the horse mated. But this one was funnier. Great comicΒ

Uh...uhm... oy.
Loki... never tell Thor about that or he will NEVER let you live that down. He may not be very clever but he is not above beating a dead horse back to life only to kill it again.
