Page 2 of Little Victory: Chimera.When I write my scripts, I'll often find a piece of music that fits the scene, and listen to it when I'm drawing.
The sweeping, plucky but kinda lonely title tune to the Serenity film was what I had playing in the background for Vicky's approach to San Francisco.

Grrrrh. Great comic but it just bothers me that the exit sign for Sacramento shouldn't appear in that area. Sacramento is too far from... I'm gonna guess Alameda.

Although, the critic in me must say that in panel 4 the outlay of the bay is a bit off, particularly the under-drawn Bay Bridge, and the absence of the half finished "Emperor Norton Bridge".
Dont get me wrong, Im happy with your addition of the Alameda Island though

I like the way how she doesn't fly with any concern for aerodynamics. It's a nice way to show that she isn' depending on something like rocket boots or another form of thrust that moves through the axis of her body.

To be honest, music is by and large what inspires me to write. If I can't hear a particular song or type of music going with the scene, then my heary's not in it and I don't write it. I blame anime and video games, where music is ever-present.

Maybe it's because I don't read that much comics any more, but I do not think I've ever seen that many details that humanized a super hero character in a single page.
A page with so little dialog, no the less.
