Description In a jungle in Congo, Jhazira was running at top speed on the jungle canopy, trying to reach the source of a noise she heard too many times. That of the war trumpets used by those whom raid tribes to get treasure and human slaves to sell. She landed on a branch and after grabbing the spear she carried on her back, surveyed the scene in front of her; a group of young girls from a nearby tribe of hunter/gathers being hoarded into a makeshift caged wagon made of sticks by the group known as the Daughters of the Sun. The large musclar woman known as Talona is loudly barking orders to her subordiantes as they poke at their prisoners with spears to herd them into the wooden prison. One on the girls fell down on the ground, and Talona punted her full force in the ribs.

"Get up, useless! Being a servant for the our High Priestess is too good of a fate for you. You would be better served being a living sex doll for a pack of gorillas!!"

Jhazira tighted her grip on her spear with anger. She knew that she needed to stop this before the group moved out. Taking a deep breath, Jhazira leapt of her perch, spear pointed a lone member of the Daughters of the Sun...

After two months, I must say that it feels good to be able to use digital colors again. Well, as you can see here, African warrior & adventurer Jhazira is sroting a new hairstyle, this time rocking a natural afro. I am still gonna use the "dreads" look, but I thought that that was more suitable for when her hair's wet than a full-time look. I thought that a natural look would suit her more, as well a being more fun to draw. She's rocking an alternate color that provides camoflage, making it easier for her to sneak up on slavers and other evil people. I also re-designed the eyes, but I was keeping the eye color no matter what!

The low angle on this one looks really cool. You can feel the jungle heat thanks to the lighting. One thing I would suggest is making the branch detail lines more random so it looks more natural.

Thank you for the advise!! I think that I accidentally make the area around Jhazira too uniformal.

I always enjoy reading your pieces' write-ups. The write-ups add alot to the piece. I like how Jhazira is posed here. I like the little changes you made to Jhazira here for this piece.
