Description
An ancient Tabernae, like a pub today, if you want. Can you see Kaïn, behind, and how he look at Clarisse? What do you think, is it love?EDIT May 2005 !
This pic was 5 years old. As a said in my journal, I wanted to retouch it, because I thought it might be cool ! So, here it is, we can see this strange mix of styles, I needed this kind of pic in my portfolio (with lineart) it is now done.

I love Rome, I always try to depict this historical period the best way I can, but keeping in mind that it has to be fun to look at (not like the pics we can find in old history books, annoying

the history channel did a great job with ther Rome stuff they did a while back. I like how there doctors are as good as the ones we have today

They were really competent doctors, indeed, I wouldn't say they are as good as ours (we do have a greater life expectancy after all), but they surely were really good in a battlefield, with injuries, something that today, our doctors can not really compare to (thanks god

well there live span was about what 60-70 while ours is now a max of 100 but arv in about 76. but I rather spend all day in the baths healer than get pain killers XD

The Jori flavour still holds true even five years ago ! This is a really solid work for its age, it really shows that your style is something that you have been fine tuning for years. The chalaces and jugs are particularly nice !

J'étais ironique, je t'envie enormément, je trouve aussi qu'un bon bg est indispensable a une vraie illustr, a moins que le "pur blanc" soit un choix justifié (ce qui n'est jamais le cas chez moi XP)

I visited many tabernae in Pompei... I also visited Ercolano and the sourrounding areaas. In some of the houses and taberanes of Pompei city you can still see the food and the meals petrified by the Vesuvio eruption

sa donne moin de sensibilité le contour noir par rapport au autre collo, mes ces zolis tout plein, les yeux ne savent pas s'arreté face a tes collo, trop de détail, tous soigné de la petite pomme dans le coin au pavé en arriére plan.

The background is as ever excellent the only nitpick I could give is the muscles on Kain dosent look quite right (sorry to be critical

That is some bloody awesome colouring there, and your dedication to background details is stunning. The eye catcher (well for me anyway) took me straight to the basket of fruit and vege down left, and not the characters until later. Funny that.

Jori..... Euh... Tu sais le monde n'est pas un constant entassement d'objets parallèles entre eux dans lequel déambulerai des personnages qui eux seuls casseraient cet effet géométrique.

J'ai pu retoucher deux trois trucs (comme les tronches ou l'ambiance generale) mais tu te doutes que je peux pas corriger la persp sans la refaire. Enfin, la compo, en fait.
