HaHa! Great! George was accosted by fundamentalists outside the premier of the movie "Oh, God." "WHY did you play God?" they demanded. Of course, George never missed a beat: "I had to play God. I was too old to play John Denver." (ta-tat-tat-ta-tat-tat-chhhhhhhh)

He was quick, right to the end. There is a story floating around -- although I cannot find it -- about a script reading before shooting began on "Oh, God." All the cast was seated around the table with their scripts before them, except for George Burns who sat without his script. The others at the table feared that George had forgotten his script, and that perhaps he was too senile to request one. Still -- the story goes -- the reading began, and when George heard his cue for his first line he said his line without hesitation. It turned out that he had memorized the entire script.

Badump bump (cymbal crash).
I wish my husband could remember some of the stuff he says off the top of his head, when we're in the car. Like your wife he has perfect timing.

If only I had been writing this stuff down over all our years I could publish a book of it.

Thanks. It's "a day in the life." My wife is the funniest person I know, and she's able to put both love and an "edge" on her humor. Like the one about the text messages. Or the one about Outback. Or the one....

What's adorable to me is that it's true. People here are getting a chuckle out of this but if you had been there at 5:00 AM to hear it... well, I, for one, laughed so hard that it hurt.

You're pretty funny yourself, Celinie.
I remember being in a car with you and we drove by a dead dog, which was laying on the side of the road.
"Well, he's done his last trick," I offered.
"Yeah. Play dead," you finished.

Hahaha that was pretty funny as most of our drives to work that early in the morning.

Well you slept through most of them. Or was it I who slept through most of them? No, you were driving; must have been you.

Hahhaah you slept through them purely for survival, lest you had a heart attack from my driving!

I actually don't remember being particularly fearful of your driving. Now, Amy -- my daughter-in-law -- she scared the willies out of me.
