Description
This is my third train. I think i'm gettin the hang of it. Worked on this on and off but i got more stuck into it since easter holidays started.Still open to suggestions

Very nice indeed. If you want to scale it up a little, i suggest using a little less focal blur, it makes it look like a macro shot, unless of course you were aiming for that, but the model is way too detailed to be any kind of a miniature. And as said previously, the saturated colors also give it a bit of a miniature model feeling, but with a little more lively and colorful background, the saturated colors could work great.

Super excellent. I know nothing about 3d, but it looks a bit too much like plastic. How you'd make it look more like metal is beyond me, I'm just giving an observation.

... wow, very DD-worthy work, you've done a great job capturing a feeling, not just an object... 3D can be so sterile sometimes, but with the soft focus and the subtle grey skies, this engine not only has substance but a story as well...

hmm, this KINDA looks like a EMD GP38... not sure. but thats the best i can think of...
again though, awesome modeling dude, you kick ass. ever modelsed anything for Microsofts Train Simulator? you would probally do a kick ass job...

very nice work, man, it looks great. the only "failure" i have spotted is the ground's angle near the rails, it looks like the concrete has been cut with a knife to place the rails, the angle is too clean, too 90°. great model tho

wow that is very impressive. i feel as if there is something wrong with the color...it seems like the colors look to clean and not used, as a train's side would be just covered in dirt and would look worn down from years of use. i feel as if the blue on the front is a little too vibrant for that area. but overall...its a sweet render. great work

What a great model and the dirt maps are superb. This whole scene has a great sense of realism but I think that maybe you should play around with the specularity on the train a little bit because it looks a little more like plastic instead of metal. That aside, great work!

This is excellent, the natural looking lighting and grimy texture are a big improvement from the subway train you did a few months ago (although that was very good also).

I think the textures are fine as is; desaturating the train with Photoshop or something would enhance the contrast between the dirt and the other pieces, anyhow, so I would definately do that to see what happens.

Nice texturing. Still looks overly clean though, you need to increase the contrast of the 'dirt' bits of the texture. And is the grime map tiled on the side of the train, or is that the shadows from the rails?
