did this awhile back...a self promo piece to get some art jobz yo!!hard to read but the bat symbol is shining on his cape :/

i love this piece but do another one were the bat symbol actually looks like its shinning on his cape.If it wasn't for the author description i wouldn't get it

I was thinking about the batman symbol today and I was wondering which one was better. I mean the basic black one does keep you stealthy, but Frank Miller posed a good point with the "can't protect my head" logic.

Props on this...
I like the matured Batman (5 o'clock shadow) and the textured background. He even commands his presence quietly as he looks over the city. Kind of reminds me of that thinking man statue. If Sin City and The Dark Knight Returns had a single image child it would be this.

yes...stubble on batman...guess its one of those..the artist puts a bit of themselves into every piece type deals..or wait..does every artist do that??..do i even do that? who knows...but thats my story an' i'm sticking to it
the era is from my imagination...since I was far too lazy to get any reference...hodgepodge era?
you can kind of see the bottom of the bat symbol in the semi circle at the top of the image on Batty's cape...looks kind of like abstract or random shadows I guess...um..use ur imagination! or something :s
not sure if it would hurt my eyes if I coloured it..since it was never coloured...feel free to give it shot! lol..lemme know how the eyes feel afterwords..ps..i take no responsibility for eye strain! and um..other legal jargen stuff that i'm probably liable for...
