She was born when Chronos's chopped off his dad's, Ouranos's, testicals. The blood dripped into the ocean causing sea foam to arise and out popped fully grown and naked Aphrodite out of a sea shell. She had many lovers including Poseidon, Nerites, Ares, and Hermes.

Her and Ares fell in love and snuck around for a long time. She did have Hermes's kid that had both dude and chick parts, how the fuck does that work?!?

She did play a part in starting the trojan war when Zeus had thrown a wedding on Mount Olympus for Thetis the sea nymph and mortal Peleus and Eris wasn't invited so she made the apple of discord and said to Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite "whoever is the hottest gets to be named hottest" or something to that effect. They had Paris deicide who won it, and they promised him crap in exchange. Aphrodite was chosen because she offered the Helen of Troy which kicked of the Trojan war.
