Description
You all know the story in Mortal Kombat as to how Liu Kang becoming a God, right?

Well, now I put Korra through something similar.

This is one I’ve been wanting to do for a while. I was inspired by a Fanfiction that was a bit of a crossover between Mortal Kombat and the Legend of Korra.

Though, it had one too many characters in the mix if you ask me. Not to mention how it felt like a losing strike for the heroes in the beginning.

All that reading really made me want to make this, to show that Korra had gone even further beyond the limits of the Avatar, achieving Godhood and no longer just the scion of balance. She is the protector of her world now and forever more, leading its inhabitants to an era of peace and harmony.

Of course, this means one thing. Since Korra was still the Avatar when she became a Goddess, this meant she also gained immortality. And because she could no longer die by natural means, she can no longer be reincarnated, and this brings a stop to the Avatar Cycle completely.

Although, if she had the capabilities of restarting history and making a new Era like in Mortal Kombat 1, then I’m sure new Avatars would be born while Korra serves as their guide while they are her champions.

It’s not very original, I know. But it was something I really wanted to do.

Korra’s design is heavily inspired by one of the skins Fujin wears in MK11. In some ways, she fills in the roll of the Water God in Mortal Kombat, who the fans named Saijin. Her powers now work similar to that of Liu Kang’s in MK1, and she even is able to turn herself into a pure being of water.

I have to admit that I don’t know much about the lore behind the Legend of Korra, but I am a fan of the Avatar series, so I digress. I’m just glad I was able to make this and am hoping to make more soon.
