I have no idea. Windows 10 and Litestep is such an unknown that I haven't even figured it out despite my trying. If you've got the two working, I'm impressed.

I'm planning to install Litestep, but I have one concern.
I'm a Windows 7 user and I'm afraid that Litestep may eventually malfunction and render my computer completely useless, so what would I do if I wanted to uninstall it and use regular Windows 7?

Well I can say that I used Litestep on Windows 7 for over 6 years and never had an issue. So I would not worry about it suddenly killing your machine.
As for uninstalling and using regular Windows 7 again, you can do two things: You can simply set Explorer as your shell instead of Litestep, or you can do a full uninstall.
The first option just requires you to click the Set Explorer as Shell file that will come with your install of Litestep (there will be a Set Litestep as Shell file as well that will allow you to switch back to Litestep). Once you've clicked this and let it work, you restart your computer and it will boot up using Explorer instead of Litestep. If you don't mind going in the Task Manager you can also right click the litestep.exe process in Task Manager and end that task, then click File>New Task and type in explorer.exe to start up Explorer instead. You can do the same in reverse if you want to switch back to Litestep, but this time you will want to type in litestep.exe to start Litestep as your shell. This will only affect your current boot up, and once you restart you will boot into the shell that you have set (depending on whichever Set XX as Shell file you clicked last).
If you just want to fully uninstall, there will be an uninstall.exe file in your Litestep install folder that you can run to uninstall Litestep completely.

Alright, so I just booted up LiteStep for the first time and I couldn't have been more disappointed.
The first skin I tried to install (because the default LiteStep interface was ugly) was broken, because it couldn't download or install any modules it required correctly. As a result, the interface just... disappeared. I could no longer even use the Start/Windows button to try and navigate through windows or apps, forcing me to use Windows Task Manager to close litestep.exe and reopen explorer.exe.
After finding a more recent skin I applied LiteStep to use that and then I restarted my computer. Upon reboot I was just met with a black screen, and the only thing I could see was my cursor. I opened up Windows Task Manager and it needed admin privileges for whatever apps were needed to run with litestep.exe, but the interface was still missing. I closed litestep.exe via Task Manager again and reopened it, which kind of solved the problem but I'm pretty sure it also kicked it out of administrative privileges. Fortunately it did see that I have installed a new skin that I wanted to use right away, but it STILL failed to download and install that one module needed for the skin to work. It seems that whatever website these modules were supposed to be downloaded from are offline, despite what the Module Manager told me.
So, I've just went back to using the default Explorer Shell. Though, I'm glad you were able to come back with advice telling me what to do if LiteStep failed to work right. I probably would've been stuck with a broken shell, and I couldn't fix it without your help. Thanks.

Now you can use the oficial version on the site.
It's working even in the x64 version.
You'll have to download modules manually btw.

Unfortunately, I didn't, I had this working on 7. Have not tried to get LS working on 10 yet, but I can send you a link to a guy who seems to have figured it out.

I do miss the days of having a system that was highly compatible with LS too. I'll send you a link to a guy who seems to have gotten LS working well on 10.

Yea... Windows 10 is annoying with Litestep. I'll send you a link to a guy who seems to have figured out how to get LS working on 10. Maybe it's this theme being coded from old modules that makes it not work on 10.
Also I just downloaded the file and noticed that you're totally right, there is no .lsz in there. You can move the main folder (called "Fluid") to your LS themes folder to try to use it.
