Description
A species of hedgehog that inhabits deserts.Itβs mostly active at night and twilight and spends the day hidden in simple burrows.
At night it travels great distances to find food which is also its primary source of water.

Nice.Can you draw some species of erinasuid (Pig like hedgehog descendant) for carbocene.They look like this hedgehog but with a body a little more like a peccaries and a more pig-ish nose.Also they have small tusks evolved from their lower canines.

If I were you I would change their appearance a little.
You've basically just created another pig. Just because it's pig-like in behavior doesn't mean it has to look that pig-like... That just seems lazy and unoriginal
Maybe it could use a long flexible nose to search for food on the ground - similar to elephant shrews. Instead of the tusks it could use strong claws on its front limbs to dig out food.

I was playing with the idea of them being bipedal like jerboas or elefant shrews but they would have to evolve long tails to counterbalance...
