Description KT - Cuma Valley's Scylla

Pakystropheus tanytrakelos.

An unusual diapsid reptile of Late Gehennian Stage of Cuma Valley Depths, along Western Tyrrhenian bottom-shores (around -2,000/-2,500 meters below a.s.l.).
Probably descending from Holocene skinks, the Scylla is named after the Squillace monster (either vice versa)haunting Messina's Strait (currently Messina Canyon) much before the Abrataxian Salinity Crisis (in Late Holocene).
Herds of several Scyllas really make them resemble the Homerus' sea monster whom Ulixes and his crew were awe in the Odyssey.

Looks great ^^ So Messina is now a canyon... I wonder if a salt-full one ^^
Uhn, and is an aquatic or a land animal? I know some animals have long necks, but this one is interesting for the great flexibility. How is its size?

Body size is that of a big dog (except neck's lenght).
Fisher animal living around circum-Tyrrhenian coasts.

And yes, Messina as a canyon and the strait bridge will turn out (once again)... useless.

Likely. No more sea, no more water pressure on the crust...

Many Tyrrhenian submarine volcanoes would come to light as stand-alone mounts as well as atolls.
