Did you install nautilus elementary? Did you restart nautilus? (Perhaps try a "killall nautilus" as well as "nautilus -q"). Its the last tab in the preferences page of nautilus elementary.

Totally agree. Best in class. With one small caveat. In Nautilus treeview, in the left pane (the directory tree) the arrows before the directrories are almost as dark as the pane background. One can hardly see, let alone click them.

Hey I love how this theme looks but I can't seem to get it to show up. I opened the install file via the terminal, but I'm not sure it's doing anything. Any suggestions?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jurialmunkey In reply to Ellocomotive [2010-10-17 23:48:14 +0000 UTC]

did you run "sudo ./install.sh" in a terminal, or just click on the file and go "run in terminal"? Because you need to open up a terminal, cd to the directory you extracted the .zip and run "sudo ./install.sh"

If thats not working, you can extract the contents of Themes.tar and drag the individual theme folders over to the Appearance Preferences Window to install them.

nice.. but awokaneza really annoys me... i want the more of the monochrome action and crazy transparencys!

jurialmunkey In reply to abdusamed [2010-10-17 04:10:22 +0000 UTC]

You could always just use the AwOken icon set instead.

Looks great!

Installation went without problems, but the themes do no show up under "Themes". Any idea how to apply them?

jurialmunkey In reply to martin10018 [2010-10-17 04:02:42 +0000 UTC]

Thanks

I'm not sure what is going on there. You could try extracting the Themes.tar manually, then dragging the folders inside it individually from nautilus over to the Appearance Preferences window.

I found it out in the meantime. It was a problem with the file and folder attributes. I changed them to 755 and everything was okay. And they look great! Thanks!

jurialmunkey In reply to martin10018 [2010-10-17 17:39:36 +0000 UTC]

Excellent!

I'm not sure what the deal is with the permissions. It doesn't always happen. I tested on another pc and nothing like that happened, but I have had it happen before when installing other people's themes. I really wish I knew so I could make sure it didn't happen.

danizmax [2010-10-11 17:38:09 +0000 UTC]

nice one, my favorite so far, thanks!

is there a way to make my gnome panel as bright or same as window color is? Cuz if I try to change the color the normal way it changes only the middle but not under icons and menus. Same goes for transparency.

regards

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jurialmunkey In reply to danizmax [2010-10-17 04:08:47 +0000 UTC]

Thanks!

Its because I defined a pixmap for the panel.

Download Gnome-Color-Chooser: [link]

Fire up gnome-color-chooser
Click the "Panel" tab

Enable the 3rd checkbox for the "Normal" colour but DONT choose a file in the box. Hit Apply.

Now you should be able to choose any colour for the panel (or transparency). This should work for any theme that defines a pixmap for the panel.

You can also define custom colours for the panel in gnome-color-chooser. You might need to do this if you want a light panel rather than a dark one.

There is some way to fix the windows layout when I change the close, maximize and minimize buttons to the right?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jurialmunkey In reply to CromoPT [2010-10-10 03:12:55 +0000 UTC]

Here is an Emerald theme with the buttons on the right.
[link]

You will also have to change the side the menubar pixmap corner is on

Run (without quotes): "gksu gimp /usr/share/themes/Divergence\ III/gtk-2.0/Toolbar/menubar.png"

In gimp go Image > Transform > Flip Horizontally
then save the image

Reload the theme (goto Appearance, select another theme, then Divergence III again).

kickass themes! but since the window manager theme is such an integral part of Divergence, I wish there were some Openbox themes to complete the look on my setup.

Sorry, but can't help you with openbox themes... I have absolutely no experience with OpenBox.

The QT works with VLC and Last.fm, but it still doesn't seem to want to play nice with my Skype and Google Earth. I love the themes over than that though!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jurialmunkey In reply to TheGrayson [2010-10-06 22:07:12 +0000 UTC]

It definitely themes Skype. You just have to quit Skype completely then reload it. As far as I can tell, Google Earth isn't themed by any GTK theme, even Ambiance.

Glad you like it.
