Rosabella climbed up into the saddle and adjusted her reins in her hand, just like she had every day for the past month. Both Rachel and Rosabella agreed that having lessons in the morning was the best. Both Van Gogh and Rosabella were quick to learn each other's quirks and could communicate fairly well. Rachel had been very patient and had tried her best to explain the different techniques and had started Rosabella in several different disciplines training programs that she used for many other riders.

Rosabella had picked her favorites from the list that Rachel had presented and had started the training soon after. Her favorites so far had been barrel racing and reining, but the team had also picked up on western pleasure pretty easy. Paisley had mentioned that there was a Halloween show that was being hosted soon, and that it would be the perfect little show to start her showing career. Rosabella had agreed, and was eager to show, and had been putting in the work to make sure that the two didn't make a fool out of themselves.

Rachel called out for Rosabella to nudge Van Gogh into a trot, pulling the young woman from her thoughts. She clicked her tongue and squeezed with her legs gently, asking Van Gogh to move up into a trot. He did so smoothly, not setting the pace too fast. Even though Van Gogh was an older horse, he still seemed to have a ton of energy once Rosabella climbed into the saddle. Rachel said that it was a good thing. Rachel had recently purchased the horse from a friend, and had been given the list of disciplines that he was trained to do.

Rosabella turned Van Gogh's head slightly as she took the turn around the riding pen as she started going through the steps that Rachel had had her going through for the past two weeks. There were turns and starts and stops, all feeling like they were right. Even though the show was still weeks away, Rosabella couldn't help but feel her nerves getting worse as every day passed. Aubree had mentioned that there were some horses at the Ranch that needed to be shown that didn't have any riders, and Rosabella had offered to help show some of the horses, even though they weren't hers. Aubree had agreed and said that it was a wonderful idea, Rachel agreeing as well.

Once Rosabella and Van Gogh had finished their practice and cool down, Rosabella led him to the tack room, where she would unsaddle him and turn him loose in his stall before going to find Aubree and seeing what needed to be done. Aubree had mentioned that there were other horses that she could help warm up for the other riders, as well as maybe practice on a few of them to work on her horsemanship. Rosabella smiled to herself as she took Van Gogh's bridle off, thinking to herself that her life couldn't get any better than this, even if she was nervous about the approaching show.
