3"x3" watercolor & acrylic on paper. There's something of what might become a new direction for me in the near future within this piece. While working on it, focused near the center, I had the feeling that the outer ring of color(painted 1st) was surrounding me. Embracing, protecting, & comforting... so perhaps the use of a frame-within-the-piece that is a subject as well will help towards the end goal of creating "healing" or "consciousness expanding" works.

I can see how you got that feeling... I get it too, just by looking at this piece. I love the texture of this, the grainy feel, how the colors blend with each other, and the contrast of the browns and bright blues and purples. It has a sort of homey, comfortable feel to it, like something you'd see on a set of old dishes.
