Sory it's taken me so long to catch up with this lovely image.

It does look like something from cell biology. The pale tones and vivid hues of the colours convey an impression of glowing, the perimeter seems to suggest rotation.

This makes me think of a meteor spinning around the sun. my second thought was that it looked like a cell diagram from biology. gorgeous colors
