Stunning and extremely evocative. I love how it seems dark and hopeful at the same time.

Wow, what a cool picture. I thought it was one tree at first because of the shape they made. What's even more interesting is that the reflection actually looks like one trunk because the lighter color in the middle is different than the color of the water on either side of the trunk reflections. But the reflection trunk doesn't have any branches, just a shadow in the shape of the real tree. It makes the picture a bit surreal.

The colors are very striking. Did you make it a bit sepia-toned or did it already come out that way?

The picture was shot with an "improper" white balance in order to give it a warmer feel. The only thing I did in photoshop was desaturate it a little, crop it and I had to take out one disturbance...

I love it when you explain what you did! It's always wonderful when your pictures come out the way you want with so little editing.

Thank you This one was in passing... I saw it one day and wondered how the hell I was going to get that shot. It is in an awkward place and was not at all easy to frame.

You're welcome.

The shot was definately worth your effort. The lighting, reflection, color...everything just works beautifully. Well done.

Thank you! I was pretty happy that this required very little editing. Most of this is in camera minus a few touch ups, a crop and a bit of contrast...
