I'd say you were very successful in your challenges. It's a very beautiful piece, and I like the background a lot. I think I've just learned something for any forest backgrounds I do in the future.

Great detail, very nice! I definitely think you succeeded with your goals for the flowers, forest background, and reflected color. The only advice I can think of is to try to push the colors more in your work, since acrylic paints are a great material for doing that and I think you have the skills needed for it. For example, grey fur isn't just shaded light grey, medium grey, and dark grey. There are lighter shades that have maybe a slightly yellowish or warmer tint, reflective areas with a lighter, cooler tint, darker areas may look rich and warm or cool and blueish depending on the lighting, etc. There are very subtle color variations everywhere, just as there are value variations. Just a thought! I saw that you were exploring something similar and thought you might want to try this as well.
Not that I've mastered this either...but it's what my professors keep telling me.
