This didn't come out quite as a planned, and it's clear I need more lining pens in different colors. Nonetheless... here it is. ^_^The chances that two balloons of the same color would be arranged this way (no overlap, never really truly next to each other) strikes me as unlikely.

I love Pinky Pie... she's so lovably obnoxious. Yep, I now love My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Unfortunately, my computer only let me watch the two-episode pilot before it started lagging in the vision department, so I've missed the fantastic animation of the first part of Episode 3, and I've decided not to try to watch it again until I have a computer that can handle it.

I think I can see some of the trouble spots for you (Pinkie's fro looks a touch off, and the balloons' lineweights seem to fluctuate without a particular pattern), but I still think this is an adorable idea executed well. Good color variety, GREAT background work (the hill and tree look perfect), and a nice change of piece from the usual Pinkie pic, with her reaction managing to stay in-character while bucking the all-too-typical "lol crazy" stuff fans usually do with her. Big

Thanks so much! And yeah--you spotted most of the things that've been bugging me about the execution. I realized midway through that I didn't have enough small lining pens to tackle the balloons the way I'd hoped, so I experimented a bit with different lining techniques and... uh, that makes it look disorganized in some places. I'll know better next time, I don't think this'll be the only time I go crazy with balloons.
I worried a little that maybe she looks OOC because of her expression, actually... but I know Pinkie doesn't have only "lol crazy" mode. XD
