Jace Beleren from Magic, the Gathering.I always liked MtG (a nerdy collectible card game), and the art of it made me do my own artwork, ultimately. I always dreamed of making an official artwork for a card...but I still need a lot of training until that could possibly happen
. I'm pretty proud on this painting, because while doing it I really felt I grew as an artist. I used very few references (in fact just the Jace cards from MtG for the accuracy of the clothes). The face for example was drawn completely free, which I could never do before at this level.
Jace is one of my favourites from the current MtG story, because I bought 4 WWK boosters lately (my first boosters in years...since Apocalypse I think) and had the luck to pull a "Jace, the Mind Sculptor" (a fucking awesome card that's worth about 80 bucks).

Thanks! I now know that this picture was a huge turning point for me. It's the first one that I think looks good enough, I'm actually happy with. Before, all my pictures were lacking something.

when I look back at your previous pictures all they lack seems to be your approval. What I noticed was this was the first you seemed truly and inexplicably exited about. While the others you seemed happy to just be finished with them. But that is just my opinion.

What is up with that??? I have bought countless boosters and have only busted out probably 2 mythics at the most! (Granted one was a foil of Emrakul, the Aeons Torn) But i would trade Emrakul in a heartbeat for Jace...

The funny thing is, that I bought 1 Scars of Mirrodin booster 3 weeks ago and pulled Elspeth Tirel (really, just 1 booster, I swear). I don't know why I'm so lucky with boosters, I should consider buying more

Id say it looks good. Me personally i think this could be used on a card. Ive seen many different styles on the cards.
