A new series in acrylic. These are the first paintings in acrylic I have done in more than a year. I used a technique that I call drifting, who knows what it is actually called? Drifting uses heat and air to fix texture in place as well a fine brushes to create pattern and other texture. I use the same technique with watercolour, but the effect is a bit different due to the medium.Fullview please
Original abstract in acrylic with hand blended pulverized pearl and 24kt gold on 150 lb cold press cotton paper. Measures 14 x 24.5cm.

that's one of the great things about abstract art...each viewer brings their own thoughts into the image and they see things that their mind wants them to see....of course that happens with anything, but even more so when it's abstract!

Fantastic intricate pattern. There is a lovely sense of depth to it and plenty of wonderful new shapes to find even after haiving examined it for a good while.

It is kind of funny tp paint these, because you move so fast and you focus on one small spot at a time with your face inches from the paper, working across the paper...and then it is drying and you look at it and it is what it is. But they are like roarschach (sp?) ink blot thingys to me.
