. . . Wot? Why does it say Mask Take 2? Because I already finished one last year. Dur. But I never posted it up, because I think Richuurrd (Mask Name) is silly looking.
Hopefully I'll get around to baking the teeth tonight and... well... foaming it. Oh crap, looks like I forgot to add that part about foaming in the missing part. XD Oh well.
Also, I will be adding tutorials on the side as forms of "How-To," because I thought my pixel artist inside me was getting super pissed at the small amount of projects I have actually been doing.
... And the teeth. I know they have extremely small amount of detail, but that's just because I don't actually sculpt well. After I bake it, I'm going to sawing some detail into it, though. After that, comes a nice, fresh coat of awesome sealant.
Eventually, when I finish this mask, it will be of Kaizanu, my fursona of the same name. >>'
And if the mini tutorials are at all confusing, feel free to ask...? o_o'

Doesn't Sculpey III break easily? o.o
I'm not objecting to your methods or anything, but I'm just saying...

This was a pretty old project from back in the day. Admittedly, the sculpey III was very rigid, so I don't think it's brittle in any way, but I did find that the sculpey III was very heavy and caused the final mask to have poor weight balance. I would highly suggest going a different route. I am a fan of presculpted mouths from Dream Vision Creations (dreamvision-creations.myshopif… ). I used their mouths in my later fursuit heads, which aren't shown on my dA, and I found that their mouths were lightweight and worked well for my purposes. I only advise putting on your mask while you position your teeth set so they meet up properly (if you are using my other moving jaw tutorial).

I'd wish I could buy stuff from Dreamvisions, but I can only get stuff from Ebay and Amazon... ;-;

It's plastic canvas mesh typically used for needlepoint. I used to buy them from Joanns; they were a couple cents each. www.joann.com/plastic-canvas-7…

It is made of plastic canvas which is very flexible and yarn to tie it together. The rest is listed in the top right hand corner of the picture. I bought the materials at a craft store called Michael's and the hardware from Home Depot.

not to butt into the conversation, but the mesh is used for latch hooking and other sewing crafts. you can get a large sheet for a dollar at michaels. Sculpey clay and Fimo are good clay, Fimo is very expensive. its 3 dollars when you can get the same size in scupley for 1 dollar.

If it is the teeth, that's Sculpey. However, if you're asking about the mask material with the squares, that's plastic mesh. It's used for some kind of needlework that I can't remember right now. ^^'

I have a fursuit in that I have fluffy arms, legs, gloves, and shoes. I also have ears and a tail, but I don't have a head.
