Description Just practicing new techniques. And if you haven't guessed by now, I've completely abandoned the other project, due to unfavorable jaw motion.

So! Here, I implemented a system where there is absolutely zero elastic in the actual motion of the jaw, but there is an elastic buckle band that secures the jaw to my face. ^^

Also, sorry about the hair, I just couldn't see any other way.

I credit the ear construction to: [link] - Very useful.

The teeth and all the mouth bits are made of fun foam, because I'm being too lazy to bake sculpey. Looks fine to me, at any rate.

Crappy mask on me shots via built-in webcam. Unfoamed by my iPhone.

Hopefully, this will end up at my fursona, because I abandoned the other head mid-build. Many experimental stuff in this head, but mainly the jaw motion.

Currently, I am needing some thin foam for filling in the triangles where my hair is, and then onto furring! Then eyes. Or eyes and then furring. >>'

I've been working a grand total of three days on this. ^_^ While watching anime~ Haha.

Feedback is appreciated. Any questions about construction can be messaged to me - I'll be as helpful as possible :3

Since there are two of these, I'll reply to one. This one! I used a plastic canvas base that is usually used to do some kind of yarn art on, then I used dense green foam that is usually used for seat cushions, you can buy this at a fabric store by the yard. For the moving jaw part, that is made with a hangar and elastic to keep it on. Finally, hot glue to keep it together and yarn to sew the canvas together with.

Wow, awesome construction! t looks very complicated! D:

I've always tried to think of a way for a fursuit head's jaw to move with the person's--but I've never seen it done! Cool!

Not exactly. :3 The grayish cylinder rests on top of the chin, below the lips. Very cozy. ^^

It's actually very sturdy. ^^ Since the jaw isn't attached with mesh and is attached with heavy-duty wire, it can withstand hugs of doom! =3
