Description
A further study of Del's bow-hunting hobby, which is almost too practical in her lifestyle to be called a hobby. Most of the meat in her diet comes from fish, but some varying amount comes from land critters, too. Del's recurve bow is about her most sophisticated material possession and is fitted with a reasonably new electronic sight.While the equipment is sci-fi, the principles of archery remain. If you see anything really off about her technique, let me know and I'll try to fix it for next time! I want to be able to make it convincing.

I love recurves.. I prefer them much more over compound bows.

Another technique detail: The way she is holding (pulling the arrow/bow back is wrong. She has 1) garbed the string. She has way too much of her had around it. You only have the pads of your first two fingers on the string. When people get tire (or have poor technique) they will let the string rest in the first joint, but this will tend to knock your aim off slightly. 2) Also, because she has garbed it, she has also twisted the cord which is not good.
Love the detail on the bow, and the perspective you drew this from.

a minor detail about her technique; the arm holding the bow should be slightly curved outward, to avoid being hit on her arm by the bowstring, which will hurt quite a lot (and also knock the arrow of course), some padding for the inside of the upper arm is also advised for this reason
