I was tempted to name this "Shoop da Whoop".......lolinternetmemmez. but instead went with Ignis, Latin for fire YAY.Umm....just an OC almost-monochromatic doodle of a fire-breathing wyvern (armless dragon) :B. I like firey colors
. Every so often (like every year or so), I get in the mood to draw a more menacing dragon, lulz, so I indulged myself....somewhat.I might scrap this later...I dunno....but it was a fun doodly thing to do, despite its already-obvious flaws in lighting and anatomy :U.

.......I did make a tutorial 2 1/2 years ago ([link] )....but wow....it's really bad, on retrospect |D. Um...I'm planning on making a new one soon, so...be on the lookout for it 8D.

XD Lol. I know exactly what you mean with the "feeling of wanting to draw something menacing"..I have that same compulsion about every few weeks or so, so I've actually created a character entirely devoted to the idea that I can draw "evil" poses whenever I want. ;3 Always nice to let the creative flow go, right?
But, anyway, LOVELY image! There's so much detail in this sketch that it's hard to take it all in! From the layered scales, the sharpened, dagger-like teeth, to the espically well-drawn little fringes beneath the jaw (I believe they're my favorite part). I kind of like how the head looks "scrunched" a bit; it makes it seem like the dragon is annoyed and growling darkly at whatever it's about to attack while at the same time opening its mouth wider in sort of a snide expression. There's a very interesting design with this one! Particularly with the plates along the back, and I love the eye so much!! You always have a way with adding so much character and depth with just how you draw your eyes
