I should apologize for this, but I’m laughing too hard. XDWhen I watched Lake Laogai (On Friday, on Nick. Unlike many of the fandom.) I was thrilled that Iroh finally dropped the cryptic wisdom and beat the message into Zuko’s head. Seriously, it’s exactly what I’ve been yelling at the boy all season, I almost did a comic with Amaya and Matao that said basically the same thing Iroh did: That Zuko does things without thinking them through and needs to figure out that what others want for him isn’t necessarily what he should do.
Anyway, I figured that Zuko might talk to Amaya about the whole thing. She would encourage him in a subtle way after Iroh’s lesson, and try to have a little fun with it, cheer Zuko up a little. Now that I’m finished, I can’t decide whether Amaya’s being purposefully teasing/seductive, or if it’s just Zuko’s imagination, or a hilarious combination of the two.
That third panel gave me so much trouble. I sketched and erased three times, then realized I would ruin the paper at that rate, so I did sketches on another paper and got a good one on the third try, tracing it to the final drawing. The layout of the fourth panel was tough too, I changed it a couple times, and although it’s still awkward, it looked the best.
For the record, I do not like Zuko's new hair. I just keep telling myself that it'll keep getting longer.

LOL! That’s totally my fault, I messed up on the proportions and angles on this one. Plus, her pose arches her back, but her arm obscures that, so her torso looks thicker than it is.

I don’t have the entire story written out, it keeps changing with canon. I want to have it blend with canon so I likely won’t do anything big (like a long fanfic) until the series is over. nice! Good ideas... I made someone like this but she his maid and because of my love for the phantom of the opera she has an unknown talent for singing! So she leaves the firenation after zuko's banishment and goes to an opera house in Ba sing Se. Not my best story but it fits my personality... I'm just guessing but you like art!

Yes, I like art. Or rather, I like drawing and painting, seriously studying art isn’t really my favorite thing. I usually make my OCs based off a personality trait or interest of mine so I can understand and write them better. For example, if *I* made a singer, I’d have to do a lot of research I’d find boring. Nothing against music, I’m just tone deaf and can’t read music to save my life. XD So obviously, a musician would take a lot of fun out of it. And the whole reason we do this is because it’s fun!

Great picture but what i find funny is how fast Zuko's hair grows! Normal peoples hair do not grow 2 inches a day! First it's all ruffly and cool now it's all ... old jesse McCartney style. -shivers-yuck... don't worry i hate the way his hair looks too. Every time i see him change his hair i yell at the T.V " Stick with one fricken hair style for god's sake! You look hot either way!"

LOL! Well, it has been several weeks for Zuko. I think it is a nice touch to show an actual passage of time. I don't think it's unrealistic growth. There's only a centimeter of length between what can stay spiked up (especially when you're on the run with no baths) and what falls to gravity (after a few nice showers). My brothers’ hair grows really fast, so the amount of growth didn’t surprise me, really.
I still want it to get long enough to pull back.

Amaya's head might be a little to small and the third panel. Still well done.

Her face turned out small because I messed up the head-tilt and her hair overwhelms pretty much everything. o.O It looked okay in the sketch, things like that happen.

Zuko's hair just takes some practice.
I am so glad that he is finally thinking for him self, but at the same time worried sick that he might end up like Jet some how, I just can't shake that feeling.

It's not drawing Zuko's hair that I dislike, it's the actually look of it. I just don't think it's a good style for him. However, just about every other fangirl disagrees and thinks it's totally sexy. I'm just weird like that.
I have a feeling this is just another step on a long path, Zuko has awhile to go. I hope he ends up happy.

And I know a lot of people like Zuko's current hair style, it's a matter of preference. I’m cool with that. It’s not like I think he looks bad, he still looks good, I just can’t wait until it gets longer. I like long hair.

Yeah, a panel like that requires the perfect pose and expression, and I still see all the errors I made with the angle of her head. But yes, I think it turned out well.
