ahhh i love this picture and the atmosphere and everything this is my first entry for this year and i apologize if we had an rp or collab planned but at this point i just wanna power through my entries to get everything done on time.

Despite being marketed as the extreme version of the event, so far the weather and terrain had been almost identical to that back home in Colorado. Many of the pastures at Vechnyy had 4 feet of snow in them or more and many of the drifts around the driveway and assorted paths were 10ft+, matching many of the more extreme drifts here. The temperatures were the same as well, unfortunately, and Jade honestly doubted that the horses even knew they were in a different landscape let alone halfway around the world.

She'd gotten lucky, not only were her horses already perfectly equipped for the matching temperature and terrain in Russia but having lived in Ukraine for several years she was already conversational in Russian, making it much easier to gather supplies and get directions from the locals. The'd gotten separated from their group in Niya when the snowstorm forced them to take shelter in a kind famers barn but by now they were back on track, slowly but surely progressing towards the checkpoint. The wind had swept away the other horses tracks but the landmarks matched those on the map so Jade sat back, enjoying the views in Karnauhova as the horses trudged through the snow.

i may have put them way closer to the mountains than the refs suggested but oh well
