Phase One - VANAHEIM TO GEILO
Distance: approximately 300 km
Weather forecast:
Even though Vanaheim is located in southwestern part of norway, the salty humidity by the fjord will not be noticeable as the entrants head up into the mountains. Thick layer of snow covers the surroundings, making it a tough start. Be careful near cliffs, naked mountains often have an invisible layer of slippery ice underneath the snow. Continuing further into the main land, temperatures will drop from a mild -5C to -12. The weather will be sunny for the most part with occasional snowfall. At the highest point before entering Geilo, you may experience strong west winds.

Turns out Simon has a horrible sense of direction and got lost
near Geilo and greeted with a snowstorm. Well, if you're too
anxious to stay around other people you might as well ride into
the wrong direction. The perks of being an introverted bean, I
guess. But he will make it out alive and well. After all he has his
mighty steed with him... who turns out to have enough of all the
snow already. Personally, Simon can't blame him and he wished
he had appreciated last time more when he had Helena as mentor.

So, did I promise to be a better participant this year? Yes.
Did I fail tremendously? Hell yes.
BUT I am determined to finish TWD this year for real and I honestly hope I can make it. Poor Simon deserves a successful year after his last horrible experience, amirite? Anyway, I had lots of fun with this entry. Turns out drawing rocks is fun I have to admit though that I'm incredibly glad Austria's snow is already gone. At least were I am. I'm so looking forward to spring <3
