Description Carved for Halloween 2006. The pattern and the carving are my own work. This is my first attempt at doing a pumpkin that has three shades of color. I am fairly pleased with the result. Unfortunately, the false beard of kingship does not show up very clearly in the photo.

Awesome! Personally, I would've put like a 60 watt bulb in it. You ought to see my gallery of pumpkin carvings.

I now mount two small flashlights in the sides. These provide a bright, steady light, but are positioned in a way that they cannot be seen through the holes in the pumpkin when you viewing the pumpkin from the front. (The photographs also look better if you cannot see the light source.)

Now that was worth forgetting you-know-what for! Incredible. Is there going to be a candle inside?

Forget what?

I used three small flashlights from which you could remove the tops to make them function like torches. (I took the pumpkin to the law school's Halloween party, which was indoors, so I didn't want to use a candle due to fire concerns.)
